Had/have a horrible ongoing experience with Hench's and will never do business with them again.
Issues:
Last minute notice on delivery, I was assured several times by Kyle that I would get plenty of notice so I could schedule the day off from my employer. I got a last minute call the afternoon before my home was being delivered that it would be here the next day. I had to take the day off without pay so I could be there to make sure my home was delivered in the correct location.
The home was knowingly delivered damaged. The delivery crew said "yeah is was like that when we picked it up". So you decided to deliver it anyways? The damages still have not been repaired from delivery. Kyle again assured me that they would be out that following Tuesday to make repairs. They showed up but only brought half the materials. Haven't been back since, and can't get a straight answer of when they will be back to fix my damaged home.
Home was delivered without a stove, when I asked Kyle (sales manager) about it, he said " oh yeah , no one looks in these homes before they are delivered". You mean to tell me no one takes 5 minutes to walk around and go in the home to double check and make sure everything is ok before delivery? This small overlooked detail could of saved many of these issues.
Home was delivered with keys that did not work. The setup crew literally had to break into my home to get inside. I was promised a check to pay for the locks to get changed, again I was lied too. It's been months and still no reimbursement.
The steps they give you with the home are flat out dangerous, they have no handrails and and are not even the full width of the doorway. Needless to this fell on death ears, and I finally slipped, fell and hurt my back. I was told we would get cheap stairs with the home, but cheap and dangerous are two different things. These steps do not meet the IRC. I asked about it, but was ignored. See picture of the cheap steps that there competitors get on my neighbor's house vs what we got. They are cheap too, but have a handrail and are the full width of the doorway. Hench's does not care though. They would rather save a few bucks then care about your safety.
They sent my title info to the wrong place after I told Kyle several times the title information needed to be sent to the same address as the home. His reply is always " No worries, I'll take care of it buddy". Man if I had a nickel for Everytime I heard that and it not happen I would be rich. Kyle rest assured, I am not your buddy!
I keep getting told I will be getting a call about arranging to get my home repaired from the manufacturer by Henchs but no one ever calls. I also keep asking Henchs ifthey are going to repair the damages to the home they caused. as It's not the manufacture's fault, but again I get no response. The siding is damaged on my home and everytime it rains, I am sure the home sheathing is getting wet. I am sure it is only a matter of time before the mold starts and the woods rot begins on our new home.
We understand things happen, but we don't like being ignored and lied too. Was very excited to get our new home, now we are just disappointed and disgusted. For what it is worth to anyone reading this review, choose any company besides Hench's. Yes they have the cheapest prices, but on this case you really do get what you pay for! If I could do it all over again, I would gladly pay more to get better service and do business with a company that does what they say...
Read moreMuch time was spent searching for the right people, the right mobile home dealer and the right mobile home for the family farm in Holdenville. Henchâs in Calera, OK hit the mark on all points. Communication was enjoyable and associates did not pressure us; rather, we negotiated price, expectations, a timeline for delivery and set-up and they took care of business in a professional manner. Though we searched in OKC and other cities, we should have stayed near Durant as they are located just off Highway 75 and have other dealerships in the Denison and Sherman, TX area. Depending on what one can afford and the size of the mobile home, Henchâs has a wide variety in which to select. New manufactured mobile homes are not like they once were. These are beautiful inside and out. We purchased a 4 BR 2 Bath manufactured home that is lovely. Thank youâŚto Bryan, Jerry and Austin for a smooth process. They will help you with everything in the process of buying a home. I highly recommend that you take a walk through of their homes when considering your purchase. As a former educator, I give them an A+ on their report card! Henchâs IS the place to start and end...
Read moreThe entire crew at Calera made our home buying experience absolutely perfect and flawless!! These guys were our last stop after MONTHS of looking and traveling many miles for a retailer that could give us the custom home we wanted. (We actually had a list of âcanât live withoutsâ...!) They are upfront and honest and truly work hard for their customers. They beat any deal from the other retailers, and actually put us in a home that we loved online , but didnât realize it came in a smaller model until we visited Henches. I promise our home shouldâve retailed for way more than we paid. Kyle Granger and Brittny Hill hands down are superb. They were never bothered by our many questions and concerns during the process....in fact Kyle and Brittny went above and beyond to get us exactly what we wanted, from the perfect home to the perfect financing company. Brittny even helped us durning a super last minute change during production. We canât say enough great things about this retailer!!! The team at Henches Calera are really, REALLY good at...
