New update as of October 8th, 2025. I've been meaning to provide an update since I last wrote this. I will say that this guy is a BIG time LIAR. He continues to lie one after another. Most of his respone to my review is filled with more lies. He initially refunded me and then canceled it but because I wrote the review and called my bank about the unauthorized charge they had froze the transaction. So he then decided to refund me my money. My bank even confirmed that he cancelled the refund and then reinstated the refund a week later. The process took two weeks. I called him after he cancelled the refund and he did not call me back once. I called him multiple times to resolve the issue and no response from him. It wasnt until I wrote the review that he texted me back requesting that I remove the review, even when he had cancelled the refund. But still no call from him bc he was trying to avoid me. He even had the audacity to bother and call my friend so he can convince me to remove the refund knowing that he had cancelled the refund. Once again my bank confirmed that he had cancelled the refund. 2 weeks to recieve my refund was not immediate. Also had I not written the review or contacted my bank nothing would have happened. He definitely would have kept the money he initially stole. Also the copies he sent me where pixalated blurred pictures so he could hide the truth of canceling the refund. He lies about the whole story. He lied about the furniture being broken he never mentioned it at all. Not once. There's a huge difference between selling open floor furniture and selling furniture that is broken and super glued back together without informing the customer. He lied about me taking the furniture to the car. He insisted on taking the chair to the car bc he knew it was broken and did not want us to know. As soon as I got home I barely sat on it and the glued wood came undone. When that happened I called him immediately. Once I called him, he tried to put the fault on and blame me for it. I was able to calm him down which he then confessed that it was glued and lied saying that we knew bc my brother pointed at the chair. After that he still tried to prevent my refund but after 10-15 minutes on the phone he finally agreed on returning the two chairs but not sofas. However he said that but didn't mean it bc he kept mentioning about swapping the chairs out. Which btw i have a voice recording of the truth. So he can lie and say whatever he wants but I have recordings, text and pictures of the truth. He knew the chair was broken and did not say anything about it on purpose. Then when I found out he tried to say I did it. We agreed to meet the next day. We agreed on the time and he knew I had a flight to catch. I even told him the time I would be there, gave him updates as well and he wasn't there. I waited an hour for him, called him and texted but no answer. So my brother had to return the furniture for me. When my brother went to return evrything, Manny lied saying that we only agreed on one chair when we we actually agreed to return everything. But he lied again and even LOCKED MY BROTHER IN THE STORE forcing him to look at the couch if he wanted the refund. So as he was forced to look at the couch he discovered there was a bunch of damage under the couch. Finally after that he gave the refund and unlocked the store and let him out, but he did cancel the refund after that. Then reinstated the refund bc of my bank holding the charge and initial review. Bottom line avoid this guy. He lies, sells broken furniture and passes it off as floor models. Also given the opportunity he will steal your money. I'm glad I didn't pay cash.
Side note he did tell my brother that he was angry that his glue guy didn't do a good job gluing the chairs. Lol I mean come on.
Initial update: This guy is a crook and a thief. He lied to me multiple times about the products. Sold me brand new furniture that turned out to be broken from the start. He's disgusing lemons as...
Read moreThis is one of the more interesting business models I've seen. In an era where buying furniture typically happens through a big box furniture store, a thrift store, or online resale marketplaces, Kirad's offers another option: manufacturer showroom furniture; items that were used as demonstrations to retailers directly from the furniture manufacturers.
The pieces have all been used in a showroom setting only, and reflect new lines of products directly from manufacturers. Manny has a personal relationship with many of these manufacturers, and selects the best pieces at the end of these shows to sell to his customers.
Manny maximizes his current shop space by having furniture covering nearly every square inch of the building, in addition to having even more furniture in adjacent storage. Despite all of this inventory, he still knows where nearly every single item is located. It's pretty impressive. Since this is not a showroom, the furniture is packed and ready to pick up same-day (uncommon for big box furniture stores). Note though, since items are not assembled (if assembly is required), the best sense of what a piece looks like will come from the photos on the Kirad's website.
The pieces Manny carries are high-quality, real wood pieces. Every item on the Kirad's website is up-to-date, fairly priced, and is in his shop if the listing is still up. When we went in to purchase a dining table, he let us know there were 2 matching chairs that went with the table (which we didn't know previously), and he gave us a very good deal on purchasing the chairs as well.
We also looked up the price of all of the pieces we purchased (per Manny's suggestion), and we saved nearly 50% of the MSRP price by purchasing here. Since Manny is selling showroom demos, has very little overhead, and essentially is running a furniture business as a one-man-show (he is HUSTLING), he can pass along the savings to customers.
Additionally, Manny offers very reasonably-priced same day delivery (in our case it was free, since our home is only about 15 minutes from the store). However, if your delivery address is further away, Manny is willing to work with you to use either his van (for smaller items) or larger box truck for delivery support (AND he helps move the furniture in to your home).
Kirad's really does it all. When there are so many middle men just trying to get their cut in the furniture industry, it's refreshing to find a business where it's just a guy with a dream, who works hard, gives you good deals, and goes above and beyond expectations when it comes to delivery and service.
We're looking forward to exploring Kirad's for future...
Read moreThe owner is incredibly pushy. I found a piece of furniture from the "Craigslist - by owner" ads section that I was interested in. I use Craigslist a lot and only search in the by owner section. As soon as I got there, Manny was insistent that I was getting the best possible deal. He did not let me get a word in as he talked so rapidly. I was there to see the one piece from Craigslist and he kept pulling me over to more and more pieces.
He then told me it was going to cost ~$40 more than the listed price on Craigslist. I told him that that made me feel like it was a bait and switch since I have never had someone increase the price on Craigslist once I got there. He told me it was because there are 2 types of people who sell on Craigslist: owner's and dealers. Why then does he list his products under "For sale by owner" on Craigslist? Seems like a scam. He then talked over me some more and told me how all of his other customers were fine with paying taxes. Maybe they knew he was a business up front and weren't swindled into coming to his store through a misrepresented Craigslist ad?
While I had gone to the ATM to get cash before meeting him, hearing that he was now going to charge taxes I asked then if I could use a credit card. He said sure and took my card and then grumbled about how he was going to have to pay fees on taking a credit card transaction. After a terse exchange, I told him I was not comfortable with the transaction before he ran my credit card and then he ran my credit card anyway. Given the tense-ness of the situation I did not want to then ask for a refund or do anything else to get in this man's crosshairs. I was flabbergasted and really uncomfortable being alone in the shop with that man. I got my furniture and got out of there as quickly as possible. Will not be doing business with him ever again and would warn any woman from going...
