Riverview Shopping Center — Local services in Durham

I visited the new Harris Teeter Supermarket today, September 9, 2019 at Riverview Shopping Center. I entered the establishment approximately 11:50am and exited 2:13pm. My visit was adventurous. The store is bubbling with exited and eager personnel. A majority of the personnel was transferred from other Harris Teeter Stores. The store is humongous, clean, wide aisles, superb lighting, selves stocked to the max, and the floors are so clean, you could place a baby on the floors to crawl and the baby's knees would still be clean. I ordered chicken from the deli and it smelled so good, I had to munch a piece. The chicken is delicious. My visit was very well worth my travel time and my time I spent familiarizing/fill myself with all the surroundings and all that there was to see. I did get quite a few bargains. A HALF...

Went to Kroger... The store was ok topical Kroger. But the whole reason we went in was for Fresh Subs from the deli and the Salad bar. Bad Bad Bad. It really looked like the pasta salads/mixed greens were put on the bar the day before and left. The tops were discolored and the different lettuce and fresh Fruit/Veg they normally have on the bar should have been thrown away 2 days prior. Oh my Gosh don't get me started on the soups. You could actually tell when people dipped out of it and it cooked the sides of the METAL containers that are in. I believe the funniest thing was when my daughter and I asked for an employee to help us, there wasn't one. Get your Bar...

Love Upchurch drugstore! Misleading name b/c They are so much more! Their pharmacy staff is EXCELLENT! As is the "General Store" staff. I've never gone into the optical shop, but it is definitely convenient! The little "gift finds" here are awesome! Stuff you don't see anywhere else.

There is also a Batteries+Bulbs, a furniture and equipment rental store, Chinese resyaurant, Harris Teeter Grocery & Fuel (if you support them), and I think there is an insurance office in the bldg with the restaurant. Oh, and...
