They should have a 7 star option…the end.
Lol. I brought my girlfriend on her first waterfowl hunt with Rogers Goosedown Outfitters, in Bragg City. She loved it and asked to extend the hunting trip past two days to three. She had 10 boxes of 20 guage shells, however I was running out of my 12’s. The extension made me scramble for shells. If you’re a hunter do you really want to go hunting with no shells!?!? Uh…no. The last year has jacked up the supply chain and ammo is no exception, it’s short everywhere. I got a last minute notice to add time to the hunt, a last minute notice that space was available to hunt and looked at my sad looking ammo box, I was in trouble. I called all over and finally called my guide. He said call here. I did, and they had shells for me. Next problem I was 27 minutes away by google maps estimation, it was 5:37 pm, they close at 6:00 pm…panic and misery had now set in. I called them back to inform them of my situation and the young lady said “let me get my manager for you”. After the wait, someone said, “Come on! Get here fast, we will stay open for you, but I’m not paying your ticket for you, so be careful and be safe, we will see you when you get here”! Lol!
What I haven’t told you is that it was the close of business on December 23rd, when everyone “has bigger fish to fry” with family time. These guys cared, and were sacrificing some of the most important family time of the year for themselves to help some stranger out who was caught in a little bit of a pickle (just to have fun for himself and his girlfriend, may I point out). This is obviously, the right company, owned by the right people, who hired the right people.
We have all learned over the last year, is the most valuable thing…the right people.
I’ve had a handful of experiences like this one over my life, just a handful. It’s taken 50+ years to get just a handful.
This is the right company, made from the right...
Read moreI went in on 9/24/18 at 10:20 just to see what they had here in Savannah. A man and a woman were behind the counter looking at something for a customer that was across the store. As I walked by them, I looked directly at them expecting to exchange pleasantries but neither of them bothered looking up at me or said anything. The counter is about 8 feet from the front door btw. I went in and scanned the store. It looked like they had some cool stuff that I'd love to spend my money on. As I passed by the counter again on my way out, the man looked up and yelled out a question to the customer across the store. As I did on the way in, I looked directly at the two workers but neither bothered to raise they're necks the 3" required to to recognize my presence. What a shame. I will never recommend this store to anyone. And I will drive 100 miles the other way before I drive the 2 miles back to this store. It's all about customer service....
Read moreThey have a good selection in all departments! Things that most outdoor shops wouldn’t carry or even know about when you ask them. My problem is I walked in yesterday to purchase a firearm from them, and after browsing awhile…. I walk to the counter to be informed I can go checkout at the front. Ok? The feller was filling out papers for another guy and maybe having a bad day. But the way he acted was unprofessional! I asked about a certain firearm and he told me it was a caliber it actually was not. He had no interest in informing me about something I had intended to buy. Basically he wanted me to go somewhere else and leave him alone. Fair enough I had the same firearm ordered and shipped at Final flight (Union City) without feeling like I wasn’t welcome to shop...
