If I could give a zero star rating I’d really consider it. The only reason I could see giving any kind of stars was due to Bubba in service being an extremely kind person and able to help with making sure I was alright.
Besides that though, this dealership shouldn’t have “Chevrolet” anywhere in its name if they can’t do a simple oil change on Chevy cars. If you drive a Corvette, I would t bother coming here. Go to Union city or Jackson to get any Vette work done.
So first off you roll up to the service doors and there’s a speed bump, no biggie for regular every day cars and trucks but if you have anything that sits low to the ground even as what came from the factory, prepare to hear every bit of your undercarriage start scrapping like a damn tin can lid being peeled back. That’s the first thing.
Next, they tell me they can’t do the oil change because it sits too low. They proceed to ask if I have lowered the car at all and I say no. The older gentleman that had the better before me kept everything stock. Now I’m 30, and I’ve done more to the vette. The only thing I haven’t touched is the ride height and that’s because I didn’t want to run into this issue.
Thirdly, is that when I went out to get my car I noticed the passenger window is down. Figured they left it down on accident, no worries. Except it was a worry cause now it doesn’t go up or down and doesn’t have any kind of power going to it. I go back inside and ask why is the window not going up and I get asked a very dumb question in return “well how else do you usually get a window to go up or down?” That was infuriating to say the least. I believe that snide comment came from someone named Danny. I’m guessing someone slammed my door so hard that it’s knocked something loose and now I’m having to drive an hour to get home with it being 35 degrees outside with a window rolled down. Thanks Danny for your oh so godly enlightenment.
The last thing that irritates me is that I got a call on Wednesday (it is Friday today) to confirm my appointment and to say that they can do the oil change but the additional thing I asked if they could tighten the bolts for my exhaust I was told “we don’t usually work on anything older than 2012, so we won’t be interested in doing that but we can do the oil change” apparently they can’t do that either hindsight 20/20.
So overall yeah, if you drive a low car, corvette, or anything older than 2012 don’t bother walking the this place. Complete waste of...
Read moreIf you ever need service on a General Motors vehicle and you’re considering Express Dyersburg Chevrolet GMC I suggest looking elsewhere. In October the motor in my wife’s 2022 Suburban blew up with just under 60,000 miles after religiously having oil and oil filters changed every 5,000 miles. Turns out there are known issues with the 6.2 motor in 2022 GM vehicles. We were in West Tennessee when it happened and took the Suburban to Express to have them diagnose the issue and perform the repair.
After almost three weeks with the vehicle, I got a call from a service advisor telling me that I had a fitting on the backside of the air cleaner duct break and he suggested it was like that when they got the vehicle and told me the part would be $150 and I would have to pay for it. I got pretty upset at that suggestion because besides regular maintenance, the vehicle has never been messed with. I thought it was much more likely that the tech who took the old motor out and put a new one in accidentally broke the plastic fitting. That’s fine. Accidents happen but I didn’t feel like I should be responsible for the bill. The service advisor told me not to worry about it and that he would “take care of it”.
On Thanksgiving the Suburban got a check engine light for a charging system issue. I popped the hood and immediately noticed the fitting was still broken and they attempted to repair it using black electrical tape. Really a lazy attempt to repair an issue and they certainly didn’t “take care of it”. I reached out to Express this morning and they insist that the part was broken when they got the vehicle. If that’s the case why in the world wasn’t it documented at the time the old engine was removed? Seems like that would’ve been the time to make that known. I don’t get on Facebook to complain but this was a horrible experience where I felt like I was lied to. In addition, within a month of getting the Suburban make after having a new engine put it, we’ve had multiple issues with the battery and charging system. First issue was diagnosed as a loose ground that I know stems from the engine replacement. Going to our local dealership tomorrow to find out what the recent check engine light is all about.
I’ve got zero confidence in Express Chevrolet in Dyersburg and the...
Read moreFirst idd not get a courtesy check on filling up any fluids levels. I didn't or couldn't get the customary Tire Rotation which is a standard procedure after each Oil change. They didn't or couldn't fix my leaking tire because I was told it had a small nail in it and it was too close to the edge to patch! Aapparently, because of the bad tire, I couldn't get the free tire rotation! I was not advised to maybe a purchase a NEW Tire even after told them I have to put air in that tire every 2 days. I said air cost now 1.50-$1.75! But I even asked do you sell tires? And they said Yes if course we do! And yet, I was not offered to buy a tire or even a set of new of tires, But instead, I was very nicely invited to drive back there ANYTIME TO GET “Free air” and I'm thinking I live almost 20 miles from Delta Chevrolet, so why would I drive 1 way to get “free aur” on a tire which is already at an unsafe pressure of 20! PSiI! Was this to save me $1.75 every 2 days? Or maybe just help me spend another $10 in gas! And because all the tires were taken off for the proposed courtesy tire rotation, they then had to put all 4 tires BACK on because of my 1 bad tire with the nail.
Now my GMC TERRAIN rides like an empty wagon and is so out of balance that it is either pulling to the left or to the right due to the fact I couldn't get the tire rotation! But any qualified mechanic knows that when you remove all 4 tires and put them back on you MUST BALANCE THEM EVEN IF 1 is BAD! And to make this situation even worst, I can safely state contrary to what I was told, but according to my invoice, I DID NOT receive that service yet it is stated on my receipt as performed. Any Master Mechanic or Technician would have seen that I was totally out of wiper fluid. Immediately after leaving the service bay it started to rain. So, I turn on my wipers and what to my amazement happened? I had NO WIPER Fluid! I had to go 2 miles up to the first auto supply which was OREILLY’ to purchase a gallon of wiper fluid!
This sounds like poor Customer Service as well as and poor Customer Satisfaction. Finally, why does my invoice state that all service checks were done? Thank you, Hopefully, the Owner and Manager will address my...
