I had never been treated the way I was treated today. I know the virus is a big concern and everyone is doing the best that they can to protect each other but when you have two kids and are by yourself companies or at least the manager in charged should help out some how.
I was received by a nice gentleman at the door that stated it that only two members are allowed at the store. Now if you think about it, four people can go in at the same time if they just simply say they are not family members. I have two little ones and I told them I had travel just to come to this store and buy them shoes. He told me that I couldn’t come. He asked me if I wanted to talk to a manager. As soon as the manager by the name of Hector showed up he had a bad mood. He didn’t even let me explain what happen, he immediately told me you can’t come in. Only two members. Now, am wearing a mask, my kids are wearing a mask, there were at least 40 people inside the store walking around. Something should be done to try and help those who can’t or don’t have assistance with kids. I am very disappointed and sad that they couldn’t help me out. All I wanted was to get some shoes for school. Thank for not helping #ACADEMY. Not coming back ever. I will try to advocated and raise my concern as much as I can. Read moreVery poor communications with customer on order status. The experience has been very mediocre. I placed an order for a shotgun on feb 10 with a store delivery date of feb 16. The shotgun showed to be in inventory. The days went by and no changes to the order status. It said “preparing”, 10 days later and past the delivery date it still says “preparing”. I’m set up with academy for text and email updates, and did not receive any communications whatsoever explaining what is going on with the order. I called customer support twice and they were nice and tried to be helpful but even them could not understand what had happened to the order. Just very disappointing, which makes it very difficult for me to want to do online purchases in the future at Academy. Read moreLooking for golf grips, when I asked an associate in the golf section if they had grips he said no. Didn’t offer to help, didn’t even say he would be with us shortly. I found one box of grips but it was open and incomplete. Since I really needed them I took them to the cashier with a number of other items and proceeded to ask the cashier if they could discount on what was missing. Cashier was very nice and helpful but she called the team leader and she just looked at us, annoyed and said just give them 5% discount on it. This didn’t even cover the missing item.
