This place has extremely gone downhill. Stayed April 23 - 25th for a birthday gambling trip to the Kickapoo Casino.||||After checking in, we were notified that one of our 2 rooms had an issue with the KeyCard and that we would have to get a regular key from the Lobby each time we would access the room. We were willing to work with that because we had an adjoining room with some friends and could access our room through theirs. However once the receptionist met us at the room (219), she found that someone else was already staying in our other room (218). At that point the issue was no longer acceptable for us. ||||After some discussion, we were put in 2 different rooms (216 and 217). Please know that room 218 and 217 that had been cleaned and ready to be occupied had food and trash on the floor. The bathtub in 217 appeared that it has never been cleaned and had only 1 bath towel and no washcloths.||||After spending the day after check-in at Casino, we returned to the Hotel and neither KeyCard for the rooms allowed us to open the doors. Another trip to the Lobby to fix the situation. ||||After returning, we had planned on taking a dip in the pool. The gate was locked, but the receptionist told us that it available for swimming. Asked if she could find out about the status. She kinda indicated yes, but also gave the appearance that it would be a bother to her and left it at that.||||After waiting about 10 minutes, I attempted to call the Lobby from the phone in the room but got a continuous busy signal. I attempted to call the Hotel direct from my cell phone, but it was never answered. Called multiple times from each phone.||||I made another trip down to the Lobby to ask the status of the pool. Was told that the receptionist was waiting on a call back from the Manager. Still waiting.||||We have stayed here before and never had an issue. But quite frankly, I will not stay here again. The receptionist kept telling me that she was new. Today with the KeyCard and Pool issue, she said she just got here.||||People that know me know that I am pretty easy going, but when you pay for something, you should get what you pay for. Not all the needless aggravation.||||There are cleaner and better ran Hotels closer...
Read moreThe worst. 0 stars is not an option or else I'd give it that. Paid $80+ so friends and I could use the pool. At checkin I was asked how many people would be staying and I said 4, was never told there was a fee for extra occupants. A fifth person arrived, but we only used the pool. Pool hours said 8a-10p. We were kicked out of the pool two hours early and were rushed to leave the pool area by the owner. As we were exiting pool area he told us he would be keeping our 80$ cash deposit due to the extra person. We packed our items and went to check out. I spoke with the owners wife and told her I was willing to pay a fee for the additional person, which was not mentioned in any of the paperwork I signed at checkin, but I was not going to give them 80$. The owner has no sense of customer service or hospitality and was belligerent and yelling at us saying it was our fault and we were lucky he wasn't charging us for extra keys because we had to have them remade 4 times. He said if all 5 of us could provide him with a copy of our IDs so he could ban us from the hotel he would return the full deposit. I explained the fifth person is 14 and therefore not even old enough to have an ID and he said I'm that case he was keeping it all. I called the police and the officer asked if we tried to come to an agreement and I told him we tried but the owner simply kept yelling and that's why we called, he shook his head and said it wasn't the first time they've been called to the property. I waited outside and when the officer asked me to come in the owner was gone and his wife said we weren't due to checkout. I told her I had explained to her husband that we were leaving when the pool closed, she said the pool closes at 10 which means we were kicked out early for no reason. She returned part of my deposit and that was the end of it. Took an hour, and the involvement of law enforcement for them to do the exact same thing I had suggested from the start. I'm not sure of the reason why we were singled out this way, but we will certainly...
Read moreThe lady at the front desk took a long time to get me checked in. The room had a dirty toilet seat and it was missing all baseboards all around the room. There was a rude old lady cleaning around me while I was fixing my breakfast. She wanted me to move so she could clean instead of waiting for me to leave the area. I told her “sorry I’m in your way” and she replied: “we have tables” pointing at them in a rude tone. Then she was seating there just watching at what I grabbed. They mostly had packed pastries and snacks not good breakfast options. There were some cold breakfast sandwiches you had to microwave too and bread and waffles to toast. The orange juice was bad. There was no coffee. I asked her for a couple more towels and she gave me a hard time to get them and asked a lot of questions about why I needed two more towels. That was awkward… I came back with my Two kids and there it came a man with a two liter doctor pepper bottle he was drinking it by the old lady that was watching what we were grabbing and my kid had a small milk spill so I told wipe it with a napkin and they immediately said don’t open those cabinets in a rude way. Then I told them “he is not opening them he is just wiping a little milk spill” and they made another bad face about it and made winning noises. I told my kids to not say anything and just eat the cereal and get out of there fast. They also grabbed a couple packed pastries to go. I grabbed some coffee and left while they whispered about us. Then at checkout out it got even more uncomfortable. I dropped the key and he got up as he could becase he had a cane and I told him:”We’re checking out have a blessed day” but he came and followed me to my car as I drove a way I could read his lips as he said some curse words as he was pointing at our car. I don’t know what was his problem but he didn’t say anything to my face when I checked out. There was as a sign on the front door that said “under new management” I hope that was not the new management....
