Update 7/14/2025 They have the perfect system set up for patients that makes the check in process practically flawless. The first and most important thing is checking your insurance which they have a list online that you check before going into the scheduling. Then I made my appointment Friday for Monday morning at 8:45am in the East Brunswick location. It took about 5-10 minutes to complete (just like filling out paperwork they used to hand you on a clipboard)... listing all medications, any allergies, checking any other existing health issues, uploading pictures of insurance card(s) and a photo ID (drivers license). It's great for many reasons including doing it from the comfort of your home, taking time to make sure no mistakes are made. If everything is filled out correctly and the proper documents are uploaded, you'll receive a text the morning of your appointment with a link to check in online from your car when you arrive (takes a minute to do) then all you have to do is go inside, say hi to one of the receptionists and have a seat to wait to be called for your test. I think I waited maybe 5 minutes for X-rays to which the technician was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient in getting everything done in the perfect amount of time. So even though this review is LONG, the experience is not! I highly recommend University Radiology to anyone for tests that you or family member needs. ššš
This is definitely the most organized and safe environment I've been in since the changes due to Covid. I checked in from my car 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment, within a matter of a few minutes the office called, asked all of the appropriate questions to ensure everyone's safety. I was then on my way into the office where I was greeted by a nurse in the foyer who took my temperature and double checked the list of Covid symptoms, had me apply hand sanitizer and escorted directly to someone who had me checked in within a few minutes and I was called back at the exact time of my scheduled appointment. Every part of the office was spotless, all Covid protocols are smoothly in place and the staff was extremely educated, organized and so pleasant to talk to. I would really be nitpicking if I had anything...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's an absolute shame that I have to give University radiology such a low score, I have used them for over 20 years but after this last experience trying to get an MRI done that needed a presert My feelings for them have really changed. Originally scheduled for the 19th of March. I receive a call on the 17th that it has to be canceled and rescheduled because a presert wasn't done. I asked why they said my doctor's office had not faxed them needed paperwork. They said they would call my doctor's office and refax them the paperwork that needed to be done. And that I needed to reschedule. I did reschedule and instead of following up on the preserve that needed to be done it was put quote" back in the quue) and not touched again until 2 days before my rescheduled appointment. And again the pre-shirt was not done and they wanted to me to reschedule. Mind you, this was at 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon that I got this call to reschedule, I asked to speak to the supervisor who wasn't available at the moment but would call me back. She called me back at 2:00 p.m. The following day and was absolutely no help at all. Only part of my exam had been approved and the other part was waiting medical directive. My thing is had they followed up on this on the 17th when it was originally noticed. This wouldn't be a problem. Now you want me to reschedule again for a third time. I asked to speak to Nicole supervisor who will get back to me at some time but has not gotten back to me as of yet. It's really a shame. University radiology was always my go-to place. Now I'm...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne of the worst reception experiences Iāve had in my life. She was insistent I have a piece of paper for the āorderā from my doctor after taking weeks to get an appointment. I didnāt have the paper which I recognize was my fault however I had inputted all the information from the paper into their comprehensive online registration. She insisted it was needed for insurance and I agreed but again pointed out that could easily be faxed over tomorrow as the office is closed now. At this same time they called my name to actually do the ultrasound which indicates to me that I could have gotten it without said āorderā but this receptionist just decided she didnāt want to cooperate. Even my husband who is a physician agreed that things can be faxed later for insurance. Itās absolutely ridiculous that now I have to wait yet another 3 weeks for an appointment for something that could have been easily handled today. What a pathetic experience. Whatās the point of the million online data entry points if the office is going to just add more complication to the whole thing. Itās a travesty we donāt have more options than this monopolized university radiology group.
Update: After posting this, they reached out to me to make sure I could get an appointment sooner than what was available on their online scheduling. The receptionist working this time, Erica, was very helpful and friendly. Complete opposite of my first experience. The ultrasound tech was also very good. Updating from 1 to 4 stars. Thank you to all those...
