I visited Holiday Hair East Greenville after spending 4 hours at another salon and having my hair butchered. At the other local salon, I went for highlights and was asked if it was okay if she trimmed it. I said yes, and to retain as much length as possible. 4 hours, roughly 4" and $300 later, my beautiful mid-back length hair was gone, falling just below my shoulders. I was in tears having spent years to attain the length I had. I attempted to angle my hair myself around the face and stopped knowing that I had no idea what I was doing so, I went to Holiday Hair hoping that they had availability for a walk in to put some layers in and frame my face. I walked in very emotional. Stylist Julia was available help me right away and sat me down in her chair asking what happened. She was so polite, friendly, kind, caring and reassuring. She didn't make light of the fact that I was so upset about my hair, in fact, she validated that it was normal to be as upset as I was and assured me she could fix it up. She first noticed the cut was uneven, showing me in the mirror the area that needed to be evened out and said she was going to fix it but that I wouldn't lose any more length as it was underneath and only slightly uneven. She then asked if I wanted it washed suggesting that it's best to have wet hair for layering, she also suggested a purple shampoo when washing as I was frustrated that my prior appointment left my hair yellowish around the front. After washing, she asked me if I had layers before and asked if I preferred long or short layers. She began cutting long layers and angling the hair around my face, providing a beautiful face framing. She offered to blow dry it and took her time styling as she dried it. When she turned me around to see the finished product, I felt the biggest sigh of relief. Obviously I was still upset about losing so many inches but she made me feel more like myself again. It had so much movement and body, the layers laid perfectly on my shoulders and just below. She suggested a hair oil to keep my freshly bleached hair soft (let me note that she 100% did not try to upsell me or push any products it was more of a suggestion for the care of my hair and keeping it healthy than her just trying to sell me something I didn't need). Julia helped me love my hair while I wait for it to grow out. She also provided me with some knowledge and hair tips while she cut and styled me. She is a hidden gem in the Upper Perk Valley and a true asset to Holiday Hair. I am so glad to have stumbled upon her and grateful that she fixed my hair. I'd give her more than 5 stars if I could. Go see Julia for your next cut, you'll be over...

I tried this salon after a poor experience at another local salon and the first hair cut was great - the stylist was awesome but my most recent visit was horrible. I had called to schedule an updo for a wedding and also asked if I could get a trim at the same time since I hadn't had it cut in 6 months. They scheduled it. I washed my hair and showed up with my hair wet. The stylist asked me about what I wanted done and I told her a trim and showed her an updo. She said they don't usually cut hair if they're doing an updo and I said why did they book the appointment that way then? The manager did not act like a manager. She was not apologetic, she said the employee had been talked to previously but they couldn't call me because there was no phone number associated with my appointment, even though I'd been there before and when I said this situation should be discussed with the employee, the manager said she arrives at noon. The manager left at 11:55am. She offered nothing to rectify my frustration. I won't...

I went to Angie for a full highlight, toner, cut and blow dry. I have trust issues with my hair and I have to say this is the first time in YEARS that I feel like I got exactly what I asked for, no trying to convince me of something else and it was also the first time my head felt heavy with the amount of foils! I feel like other places put minimal foils in. And bonus she and her colleague we so personable and fun, easy to talk to, tentative to anyone who walked in and did an amazing job explaining everything being done and costs before starting! Will be going back forever! Literally the best blonde I've ever been!! So happy with...

It’s been 2 weeks since the absolute slaughter Gabby committed on my hair, and my self-esteem has not yet recovered. I cried in my car on the way home from the salon and had to take a day off of work the day after my appointment because she cut my bangs clean off and gave me an atrocious bowl cut. It will take months to regrow my bob with bangs. All she had to do was just trim the exact same great haircut she herself had given me 3 months prior—that she was proud enough to post a before-and-after photo on the Holiday Hair Facebook page itself–but she couldn’t trim her own previous work. Inconsistent and absolutely humiliating work.

Angie was phenomenal! She listened to what look I was going for and completely nailed it! For my first visit, start to finish, the salon was great and the workers there were so sweet. Very affordable too. I can’t rave about them enough. Don’t sleep on Holiday hair! I loved the final look better then a higher end salon where I would pay a couple hundred at a time for the same type of service… Overall, 5 stars!
