I would give this theater only one star, but I’ve had a lot of good memories here from when I was younger. As a customer, I was treated very well here. As an employee, however, not so much. Most times, I would work nearly eight hour shifts, which I was okay with, but I was never given any scheduled lunch breaks. Usually we would have to wait until all the customers were seated and all the candy, popcorn buckets, and cups were restocked until we were allowed to go to one of the neighboring businesses and get something to eat. In addition, there is no break room in the theater, so I would have to either eat standing up behind the concession stand or sit on the stairs. This was only really a problem when we would show the really popular movies. When Frozen 2 was showing, there would be roughly 200 people coming to each show. Oftentimes we would run out of a certain kind of candy or soda while people were still coming in, and so it would take longer for us to clean and restock. But we still weren’t allowed to eat until everything was done. One time, I thought it would be okay to have my lunch break before we were done, and the manager had the nerve to ask me if I had some sort of digestive medical condition, implying that she would only let me eat if I did. They also had ridiculous dress code requirements. No employees are allowed to have their hair dyed an unnatural color, and we couldn’t even have our nails painted unless it was a clear or nude shade. This was my first job, so I thought all this was normal. I’m a little sad to say this, but I would be fine if I never stepped foot in...
Read moreBeautifully redone 1924 building! Love the era style work uniforms & old popcorn maker, fountain sodas, water. This is the best kept secret in grand movie theaters, not really crowded😃Fabulous prices 3$ per person!!!! Seats are amazing, LOTS of leg room!!, and room to walk by seated people, chairs are clean, floor is clean. If you want a family friendly place to watch a new released movie, this is the place to be....always family friendly movies. There are some people would call "downsides". As in although the bathrooms are very clean, there's only one for the girls and one for the boys- meaning only one occupant at a time in either, so go before you come and drink very slowly!! They even have a balcony seating 12 and costing 6$ per seat. Haven't tried it yet but maybe soon. The surround sound is 7.1, but at times can sound like the speakers are blown, depending on the movie. Parking sucks, be prepared to walk some, not alot, but some. Still, I highly recommend this place for a really enjoyable...
Read moreTook my two little ones (3&5) and they loved it! Only issue was if you sit in the back the kids can barely see which was resolved this last time we went when they gave us booster seats. I love the kids popcorn box that they have there it's perfect size they get a drink and fruit snacks. Compared to another chain theater the prices are unbeatable for the four of us to go to a 7 showing it was $20 for the four of us to go to a 1 showing it was $16. Next time I would like to run out the balcony I would have liked to have done that this time but the phone system was not working however we still had a great time. We went to see Aladdin the first time and they had somebody playing live music in the front, all Disney songs, while we were waiting for the show to start. The concession stand is inside of the theater so you don't miss the movie while you're getting a snack which is one thing I personally really love about it. I would give this 10 stars out of...
