My charge port on my phone was broken and should have been a simple fix because I already had a replacement over-nighted from Amazon but due to an upcoming trip was unable to fix it myself. Family Wireless quoted me $50 cheaper than anyone else I notified, so I gave them a chance. First, they wouldn't use the charge port bought from Amazon, and told me they would have to order one because they wouldn't be able to warrantee it otherwise but PROMISED it'd be in a few days. Second, they spent more time trying to convince me to buy a new phone or a new plan - why leave a plan for a broken charge port?! When I explained I was very happy with my plan and I just needed the port fixed, the man seemed annoyed and his pleasant manner stopped. I knew I should have just walked out right then but due to the urgency I prepaid and left my phone with them for the repair on Wednesday. They do not offer loaners - I would have had to buy a phone to use during the repair. I called back Tuesday to see if I could pick up my phone and was told the part was not even due until Friday. I said I would come get it because I was leaving the state on Thursday morning and take it elsewhere and was told there were no refunds even though that is not what the original salesman told me but they would "see what they could do, call back Thursday". Thursday, still no part even though this is a common part and who buys things that take more than a few days to ship anymore! So I left on my trip without my phone... So disappointed that a few days turned into more than a week. I was finally able to pick up my phone when I returned and the phone was scratched where they had opened it and the charge port looks like a bear ate through it. Also, I am no longer able to use the mic to make calls which I definitely could before I dropped it off since I called them on it and they heard me fine. And 9 days after I picked up my phone, the charge port is not working. When I called to complain that they broke the mic and the port isn't working I was told they do not warrantee their repairs. That is the exact opposite I was told when I left it - the whole reason they wouldn't take my replacement part I had brought in with me was because it would not have been covered in their warranty?!?! So I had to buy a new phone anyway because they completely destroyed mine. I would stay far, far away if you have any repairs and go...
Read moreIf you go there make sure you ask if they have backup screens for your phone . I called asked if they able to fix Samsung 9s plus screen they said yes, after they said phone was ready come to find out they wanted to give me a phone with a screen chipped , an only give $10 off. Told them not going to accept it they said wit will be 10 days for a new one I said ok I will wait for a new one. After 10 days called again they said they the new screen has just a " small scratched " on the screen, that they will only take off $20 off. If you going to pay about $150 for a new screen you wouldn't want a screen messed up to after it gets worse ? . He said they can't get more screens so either I accept that or they will put back the old one. Picking up the phone they gave me with the back not put back to its normal condition ( not glued back on) Some small screw heads are missing. Just hope I can find another location willingly to fix the phone seeing how this place left it . Just be aware of that type of work they do. An before picking up your cellphone check the to see the screen is good an make sure it working perfectly. Not going back to this...
