I live in York PA and visit the quilting shops in Lancaster several times a year. I find that the Log Cabin Quilt Shop has a lot of the higher quality quilting fabric lines (like Moda), and a great selection of fat quarter bundles. Most of the fabrics are more traditional, but they do have some modern fabric. There is a large selection of 108 inch wide fabric. There are also quilts for sale here that are beautiful and gifts that would be appreciated by tourists. The people who work in the store are very polite and helpful. I had 10 minutes to find and buy a king sized quilt on the way to the airport, and a young woman understood my urgency and I got the perfect quilt. King prices were about $300 less than the quilts in a major touristy place in a neighboring town. Machine pieced, hand-quilted, many designs and colors to choose from in King, which is kind of rare. Read moreI had a full cart of items before I discovered that no one was wearing masks. I didn't realize I needed to scan the store to make sure the employees were wearing masks for my safety. I dropped all my purchases and quickly left the store. Not a place to shop if you are immunocompromised or don't wish to get infected with COVID-19. Their lack of concern is appalling, considering the average age of their clientele. As an avid quilter, I will never shop here again or recommend them to anyone.
