A frequent visitor to the area (Ronks, Bird in Hand, Lancaster, Intercourse, etc) for over a decade, My wife and I have stopped in the store before, but this was our first purchase, two quilts - a Red/Maroon "Postage Stamp" and a Green/Black "Twirling Dancing".
The staff there was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly in getting us in the right direction. They have a very large inventory, giving you several options with styles and colors and were eager to work with us in our search. All quilts are professionally displayed and not just folded up in a bin. They also have a bed there to lay them out for show. ALL the quilts are individually made, not a group effort and the staff are personally familiar with the quilters themselves.
First and foremost, true Amish/Mennonite quilts are Works of Art! Hundreds of hours and Hand Stitching went into these pieces. They are not machine produced. Storing and displaying quilts was also subpar! Folded up and in stacks like your shopping for t-shirts. Shop around at the cheaper places if you want, but a stop at Millers should be on your list if you want true quality and...

Read moreI went into Miller's Quilt Shop with the intention of just browsing while waiting for Miller's Restaurant to open. It was Mother's Day so I had some extra time to wait. Everything in Miller's Quilt Shop was beautiful. I loved the many different color combinations they had in their products. I was not in need of a bed quilt. So I focused on the smaller items such as aprons, table mats and runners, and pot holders. Keeping several people in mind I wound up buying pot holders for early Christmas shopping and I liked them so much that I bought one for myself too.. Some were scented and others were not. The scented ones had a pouch inside the pot holder that could be removed if washing was necessary. When a pot was placed on the pot holder it would warm up the scented pouch to a wonderful smell of cinnamon and apple. Other scents are also available. I exited the store a joyful...
