Kimberton Fair Grounds — Local services in East Pikeland Township

Paid $22 for an all night unlimited rides wrist band and discovered, after waiting in line for over 20 minutes, that most of the rides have broken seats that cannot hold passengers. My husband and I were told by the ride attendant we would either have to sit apart or go to the end of the line because we would not be able to sit together. We were not permitted to let anyone else in the line who didn’t mind sitting apart to jump ahead of us so we could wait and get on first the next time. Seriously??? Very rude and obviously suffering from some sort of power trip because he’s in charge of running a stupid broken down ride. We paid our money and waited our turn. We felt completely ripped off and were very disappointed. We just moved up the street and planned on making this a yearly tradition but now we will...

I honestly hate fairs. I'd rather be at home with a book or watching TV. But when you have kids you do what you have to in order to be around them as they enjoy life when they're young. As much as I hate fairs, hot summer nights, and walking I love my kids 10× more and then some.

So, the fair grounds. Even for people like me who hate fairs it was a good setup. Easy to find from the road. Convenient parking. The fair itself balanced with places to sit and clear paths to get around. If you like fairs don't miss any that are here. My all time favorite fair! Great rides, food and fun for everyone. Has a little 4H livestock show, bingo, contests for knitting, homegrown gardens, etc. Such a wholesome place. The prices are decent and the people who work it are always kind. The area is clean, lots of free parking (they only ask for a donation) and there is a playground and baseball field right next to the fairgrounds. We were there tonight for a Movie In The Park. We had a blast, huge movie screen, concession stand, water ice truck. Always have free events going on all year....
