I am very disappointed in my local hobby lobby. I am appalled at how I was treated when leaving the store. For some contex it is 4th of July and my friend was searching for a plain red tank top to celebrate tonight. While we were on our way into the store but then realized the doors were closed because they were closing shortly. Although they were closing soon a kind employee let us in through the mall entrance. We made our way to the back wall to see if they had any plain red tank tops. We were disappointed that they did not have any but it wasn’t a big deal. We made our way out of the store because we didn’t want to bother them. We both work in retail and understand wanting to close fast so you can go home especially on a holiday. When we approached the doors that enter into the mall an employee told us we weren’t allowed to exit through those doors. This employee made us walk through the whole store and out the front doors. We parked by Five Guys and Scheels was closed for the holiday. This meant we had to walk all the way from the Hobby Lobby entrance to the parking lot in front of Five Guys in the blistering heat. It was 96* outside. Very disappointed in the Hobby Lobby employees that forced us to...
Read moreTo be direct...I love this store. There are so many excellent options to choose from with pictures, crafts, furniture, and lots more. And with all the positive messaging in there you leave the store naturally feeling happier (if you started out grumpy, by chance). Additionally, I love that they are closed on Sundays and allow their employees time to have a great day off and spend with their families. And speaking of employees...there has never been an unhelpful person there that I've come across. I've made purchases about 6 times so far, including mirrors, pictures, some craft supplies, posters, wall clings, etc. The quality of the merchandise has been awesome, which just accentuates what a great place...
Read moreI just witnessed the most appalling interaction with a customer I think I've ever seen. I'm in the fabric department looking at prints and overhear a conversation between two employees and a customer over dirt/staining on fabric. Rather than apologize to the customer and try to find a resolution these two employees argued with her for over 10 minutes that there was nothing wrong with the fabric. Clearly these two employees do not sew/quilt as their hobby otherwise they would have realized that you can't just wash the fabric and it make everything better. I put the items I had planned to purchase back and left, guess I'll be shopping at a store that understands the importance of...
