Dear GiVan's, While I was at your salon, I sat next to a customer and a stylist that were loudly discussing my particular haircut and their overall negative feelings towards it. While it is 100% okay to have different opinions on what they find attractive, and while I am sure stylists cut hairstyles they do not like all the time, I found the whole thing very upsetting and unprofessional. I know that there is nothing you can do about what a customer says while they are in your store, but I believe it is important that your stylists do not encourage discussion such as this when they are in the same room, next to in fact, the person they are discussing negatively. Furthermore, I was frustrated that the stylist I saw today did not seem to understand my instructions when I repeated them to her in a clear manner every time she asked what I wanted, probably at least 3 times. She was very nice and professional, unlike the other women, the entire time, but I will have to go and get my haircut fixed at a different location. If at all possible I would like my credit card to be refunded the cost of the cut, though I understand if it is not possible. I did not speak up while at the salon for fear of more ridicule from your employees. I have been getting my hair cut at your salon for six or seven years now. Despite this being the only negative experience I have had with you, this was the worst experience I have had at a salon ever. Just to clarify, I am referring mostly to the unprofessional talk about myself I mentioned first. I will no longer be purchasing services from you, and I hope you will resolve the situation so you do not lose any more business...

I love this place and the people, especially Jennifer. I always wanted short hair but would never get it done from else where since I've had terrible experiences in the past. A friend recommended Givan's to me and I let Jennifer cut my hair short. She is fabulous and skilled. She would listen patiently to all your needs and would give you a cut that would suit your facial features the best. I completely trust her with my hair and now that I have made a few visits in getting my hair done, I wouldn't mind experimenting new looks based on Jennifer's recommendations and expertise. Had an appointment with Amber - she was almost half hour late. The receptionist was an older very Rude lady. When I asked her how long, she’s like I don’t know least bothered to find out or even have the curtesy to say it in a nice tone . I had to request her again if she could ask how long it’ll be because I had a toddler with me and I couldn’t stay very long just waiting . Didn’t offer where to sit or anything.
