I inherited my dads African Grey bird who I too have always loved very much. I have always felt like I knew enough to care for her basic needs but have been searching for more information, supplies, toys with a focus on taking the best care possible of her. I am so glad that I found your store today. I am excited to use her new perches, and other items. Your coffee bean trees are beautiful. I will be back to buy one soon. Only the best for my dads Louie girl. But I was blown away by your knowledge and also your willingness to so freely share and explain things that I had no idea about. You were very kind when explaining things to assist me in some of my birds health and behavior issues. I have been trying for months since getting her to find other sources locally to be able to see items and pick up an be able to verify and know the products are safe. Thank you so so much. I will be back often. Amazed at how clean and organized a store you have. I was shocked when you told me you mop the floor everynight. Also, I was very glad to hear that people are not allowed to bring their birds in the store. Keeping birds safe and happy I found to be a major focus. I never once felt I was being pressured to buy anything. He also did not try to upsell or sell me items I did not need. As was explaining some of her issues as it turns out it could be behavioral related to some of the things I specifically have been unknowinglingly doing wrong, he never once made me feel bad for not being a perfect parrot parent. I will be back often and give and A+++ I will continue to purchase my regular food supplies from you being a small business as I value the existence of your privately owned company more than I do supporting the big box stores or going else’s where to purchase items on line just to save a few dollars. Being raised from parents who owned a hardware store for 20 years and often we’re used for their advanced knowledge but then only for people to go else where when purchasing larger items at a big box store. Will always support the small shops before big box...

I have 4 budgerigars (commonly referred to as parakeets), and I never thought that I would fall in love with my birds as much as I have. This store has been my, “go to”, place for anything bird related. The owners are knowledgeable about any type of bird, so please please ask questions! I have called the owner on several occasions, so that I am able to give my birds the best care, keep them safe, and most importantly…happy!

I purchased my birds prior to coming to this store, but I have been going there for years now. I will purchase my food, toys, perches, supplements, trees, cages, bowls, etc. from here. I love that they will introduce new items, and my birds love the variety. It took me 3 years to have one of my birds perch on my finger and eat millet. The work that I put in, and the patience, was worth the wait!

Each of them has their own personality, and I am happy to have built relationships with them. I owe it to the people who work here. This place has owners who genuinely care, years of experience/knowledge, and a passion for anything...

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Parrot Island, Inc!! I have been buying cages & parrot food & toys from them since 2000. I am not local & they have been exceptional at communicating with me, coordinating shipment of a huge cage, answering any questions I have about toys for specific birds, etc. They guided me to the PERFECT cage when I got my black-capped Caique since they have one of those birds (named Scooter) themselves. They even hand-picked toys to go in the cage that they know Caiques like because of what Scooter likes. Everything was perfect! The quality of their custom parrot mix food is exceptional and they always double-bag it in 2 heavy duty ziplock bags. Many of their parrot toys are handmade by the owner's wife & they are sturdy, safe & very fun! Everything I have ever gotten from them is of the highest quality. And I only want the absolute best for my feathered babies. They ship out orders usually the same day I place them. I have spoken on the phone with the owner, Terry, at least 2 times & he was very cordial & gave me all the time I needed to discuss things & ask questions. I felt like I was talking with an old friend. I would love to meet him one day & visit his physical store. Keep up the great...
