I first walked into the IDC during the height of the pandemic and said I needed to furnish a newly purchased townhome, that I knew what I wanted but that I intensely dislike shopping. During the following months Dawn and Denise could not have been more helpful. They not only heard what I was saying, they listened. My time was never wasted and I was never pressured but was shown items in keeping with what I had said I needed and wanted. I do not live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area so considerable communication took place by phone and email with Dawn always keeping Denise current as related to items under consideration and decisions made while Denise did the same with Dawn. Not once was there even the slightest miscommunication. When we learned due to the pandemic the factory in Finland had stopped making dining tables and chairs Denise contacted someone at the factory to ask if they could please make the one table and 4 chairs I wanted from stock on hand AND THEY DID!!! I was grateful beyond words to think she had done this and that those at the factory had agreed. Three times Kevin and Rick delivered items to my home and each time I was impressed by their work habits. Kevin is extremely skilled/talented and a strong leader and I appreciated how he appropriately mentored Rick relating to why things were being done as they were. Every piece was placed exactly where I wanted and I know had I not been happy they'd have moved them. It took me about 6 months to decide on what I wanted, but once I figured out what my space could fit, it was perfect. They had the sofa I was looking for in stock and the coffee table. The process was very smooth from when I ordered to when I received the goods. I received my tracking information within 7 days of ordering and the delivery service came within 21 days. They brought it into my home and placed in my living room. Read moreI live on the East Coast and saw a shelving unit I wanted that was listed at a discounted rate on the website. I called to make sure the product was still in stock and to get an estimated shipping time, and the customer service rep let me know that they only had one left in stock and that it was the floor sample. They went and checked on it and told me it was damaged and they'd rather not sell it given the damage. So in the end I didn't purchase from this store, but I'm really grateful they were honest about the condition of the piece.
