Appliance Outlet Center — Local services in Edina

Great experience getting a full set of appliances for a house I was selling in 2022. I'm back in the store today to order another full set of appliances and front load laundry for another house.

If you've been around a while you may remember a discount appliance warehouse with 5-6 locations in the twin cities. They've been gone for some years. This store has replaced that chain for me.

They have enough variety and options for whatever your needs are. You can get high end stuff or more budget friendly stuff (for rentals or whatever.)

Also there are often some minor cosmetically blemished units where you can save extra money if you want.

I also like being able to deal directly with Erik the owner. He knows everything he has and what he's likely to have in the near future. They can do delivery and install or you can pick up. If you get delivery they take away the old appliances for free.

Anyway glad this store is here. I was bummed that other place disappeared but this is just as good (or better) as that was. Come in and see what he has, he's most likely got something to fit your space and your...

I visited the Appliance outlet for a washer and dryer. We entered the location and found it to be very drab and dirty. The lighting was poor and there wasn't that much selection. We were looking at a Washer and Dryer and was asking the sales reps questions. He didn't seem very knowledgeable. I had a 10% off coupon from their site that I showed him and he said that he didn't know if they were taking that anymore. It wasn't expired and I download it that day.

Nevertheless, we found a pair that were $539 a piece and while trying to find the pair with the least dents and scratches. I decided to search online and found the exact pair at 5 different locations for the same price new.

I showed the sales rep my phone and he asked "where at" and I said everywhere. If I am willing to buy scratch and dent I want a good deal not the same price as retail. We left and...

Working with Erik and buying the appliance was easy. Very knowledgeable and professional. My reason for the two stars is the installation. They came on time but I was the last stop of the day and they didn't seem too thrilled to be there. After looking at the old unit for about 5 mins he said he would not be able to do it because the floor would need to be removed in order to remove the old dishwasher. He recommended I hire a handy man. He seemed very knowledgeable and trustworthy so I took his advice. I hired a handyman who had the old unit removed in less than 10 minutes without removing any flooring. Installed the new unit without an issue. So basically I had to wait an extra two weeks and pay the handy man more money. In the end I recommend Erik and purchasing your appliance there but maybe find someone else...
