Food Lion — Local services in Edisto Beach

The store is decent enough. My issue is with the cashier. Short haired brunette lady. Extremely rough with customers. Wouldn't bag anything. She'd scan it with her scanner and then bang bang bang on the item with her scanner, loudly grunt and then bark at you to "MOVE IT."

After bagging my own stuff and getting home, I realize I brought up to purchase are not on my receipt.

I happen to stop back in the store the following day and my missing items are STILL sitting at her checkout area.

I'm not sure if there is something wrong with her or not. If there is - then management needs to have someone there to help her through her day, bag items, etc. if she's just a miserable person - then she needs to go. Regardless, the current checkout situation is...

I am a regular at Food Lion, because I live at Edisto Beach. The store is sufficient for most of my needs and the employees overall are very helpful and I believe do their best with the limited space and crowds during the busy season. My review is strictly for the already cooked Deli Hot Fried Chicken. DON'T BUY IT. DISCUSSED WITH STORE MANAGER. THE CHICKEN STARTS OUT BREADED FROZEN FRIED SHIPPED TO STORE THAT WAY, THEN REFIRED AGAIN, PLACED UNDER HEAT LAMPS. THE CHICKEN IS ALL CRUST AND WHAT LITTLE MEAT THERE US IS NOT MUCH. TOTALLY OVER COOKED TO EXTREME. THE ROTISSERIE CHICKEN IS GOOD. STAY STAY AWAY FROM THE DELI FRIED CHICKEN. I UNFORTUNATELY HAVE TRIED THE FRIED CHICKEN SEVERAL TIMES- NO MORE EVER. THEY NEED...

Under staffed, under stocked! Outside is poorly lit at night. Eggs are always scarce by the end of the week. As a permanent resident of Edisto Beach I had hoped for some improvement when Food Lion took over, but unfortunately that wasn't the case! Sorry to say that it was better when it was BiLo. Andrew ran the store pretty well and seem far more concerned about the customers than the current management. Watch the sale price tags and carefully check that they are current as they don't always remove past sale tags. You'll find yourself buying items at full price when you thought they were on sale. You're better off going to Food Lion in Ravenel, or Piggly Wiggly...
