Harvest International Market — Local services in El Cajon

From the moment I walked into the market you're able to see the difference on the nice people and on the products they sell. Going out into the counter asking what they recommend for food or for cheese was a really nice experience because the person that helped me was such a nice person that told me what was each plate they had there for and how could I actually combining with the actual breads that they were making right next to the food area. The bread I got was amazingly delicious it was hot it was right and perfect to eat at the moment I was eating. Unfortunately I ate everything faster that I could take a picture from but next time I will be taking my family to this Market because I know they would love it I do have a couple pictures on the water I will post them in there. The cashiers up front and the deli personnel are extremely rude and do not know about customer service. I bought hot food on 3 occasions. The first two were fine, although I thought the meat wasn’t cooked all the way. On the 3rd time I wasn’t given everything I ordered. I went back yesterday and was told that I need to speak with the manager. Apparently the manager was not available and was due to return in 3 hours. I couldn’t go back in 3 hours so I will call him tomorrow. The manager always sits up front on the tables and doesn’t seem to be aware of the customer service. He seems to be speaking a middle eastern language and doesn’t seem to be aware of what’s going on. They have products that I can’t find anywhere else but they have to brush up on customer service. I have heard from relatives and people in this area ( Harvest Market is 5 minutes driving time from my home) that employees at Harvest are very rude. Lots of them have stopped shopping there. Excellent Middle Eastern market with delicious hot and cold entrees and sides. They have very good bargains on fresh fruit. This store is smaller and has less of a selection in cans and jars than the Balboa location. The fresh fruit seems to be of a better quality here. There is also a greater selection of hot entrees. We hope that since the Balboa store has now closed due to Covid-19, the large excellent baklava selection that was available there will be soon available here. Update: Got the Meal for 4 special of 4 beef kabobs, 4 chicken kabobs, 3 chicken tikka, 4 falafel, 1/2 beef & 1/2 chicken shawarma, rice, bread, and 8oz. pickled veggies. Everything was perfectly cooked and very tasty. However, the beef shawarma was a little dry.
