I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS. I RECENTLY BOUGHT A NEW CAR AND I WANTED MY SPEAKER BOX AND AMP. INSTALLED IN THE NEW CAR. THE LADY QUOTED ME $45 BECAUSE I ALREADY HAD THE WIRING AND EVERYTHING FROM MY PREVIOUS CAR SO SHE SAID NO PROBLEM. LONG STORY SHORT I ENDED UP PAYING $125. I NOTICED IT WAS MAKING A LOUD RINGING NOISE I DIDN'T PAY IT NO MIND, TILL MY BF TOLD ME IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE DOING THAT NOISE, WHEN I GAVE HIM A RIDE 14 DAYS LATER. I TOOK MY CAR BACK AND TOLD THE LADY AND SHE WAS LIKE OK WE WILL LOOK AT IT. TURNS OUT THE GUY SAID THE AMP. JUST NEEDED TO BE TURNED DOWN A LITTLE BIT.THE LADY CHARGED ME $10 THEN SAID IF I BRING BACK THE RECEIPT FROM WHEN THEY INSTALLED MY STUFF SHE WILL RETURN MY $10. I TOOK OFF THERE WAS NO RINGING NOISE ANYMORE BUT THE SOUND WAS VERY LOW LIKE IF I JUST ONLY HAD THE STOCK SYSTEM. I RETURNED AND TOLD HER IF THEY COULD JUST RAISE THE VOLUME BACK UP AND SHOW ME HOW I COULD LOWER IT AND RAISE THE VOLUME ON THE AMP. AND SHE SAID NO THEY CAN'T SHOW ME, AND I NEED A FILTER THAT'S GOING TO BE $15. THE FILTER IS FOR THE RINGING SO IT WILL STOP. I THOUGHT TO MYSELF OK IF YOU KNEW IT WAS GOING TO NEED A FILTER THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME AND PUT IT ON WHEN THEY FIRST HOOKED EVERYTHING UP. THEY TOOK MY CAR TO THE BACK AND WHEN THE GUY CAME OUT HE SAID THEY PUT IT ON AND TOOK IT BACK OFF BECAUSE IT DIDN'T HELP AND THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT'S GOING TO BE. I FOUND THE RECEIPT FROM WHEN THEY FIRST INSTALLED EVERYTHING AND I TOOK IT BACK SO I COULD GET BACK MY $10 AND SHE SAID O NO I'M NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU YOUR $10 BACK BECAUSE WE CHECKED YOUR CAR TWICE THE FIRST TIME YOU BROUGHT IT AND THEY LOWERED IT AND THE SECOND TIME THEY RAISED IT. SO BASICALLY I STILL ENDED UP ON SQUARE 1 THE SAME FROM WHEN I FIRST TOOK IT. SO I GUESS DISCOUNT STEREO DOESN'T WARRANTY THEIR WORK, THE LADY IS RUDE, THEY ONLY HAVE 2 UNCOMFORTABLE CHAIRS WHILE YOU WAIT FOR YOUR CAR, IT'S HOT THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE THE AC ON ONLY FANS.    Read moreSo I decided to get a remote start put on my 2000 Ford F-150. I decided to try out discount stereo even though the place looked super sketchy. I had an Asurion remote start put on for $220 dollars. I went to go pick up the truck and the installation guy showed me how it worked. I paid and left, as I was pulling out of the parking lot my trucks dash lit up with all sorts of lights and there was no power and it sounded like several cylinders were not firing. I drove directly back and gave it back to them and said something was wrong. They guy pulled it back and said that he didn’t know what happened but he disconnected the battery and said it seemed normal. I took it and left. A couple weeks later, my truck starts having trouble starting with the remote and by the ignition, so I take it back to them and tell them what is going on and the lady says that the remote start needs to be reprogrammed. She said that it would cost $15. I told them to take care of it. About 15 mins later the installation guy comes back and says he doesn’t know what is wrong with it and he starts to blame it on my truck. I tell them that the problems started when I had the remote start installed but they said it wasn’t because of the remote start. I asked them if I could simply have a refund but they said they wouldn’t and would only offer me store credit (which I didn’t want because the service was terrible). I decided to just take the store credit and took my truck directly to the ford dealer. El Centro Motors looked over the truck and figured out that the remote start had fried the computer and that it needed to be replaced, that would cost $1,000! I had the new computer put in and now the truck starts and runs perfectly. I really DO NOT RECCOMEND going here the service is terrible! The people working there know nothing! Right off the bat the lady behind the counter was yelling on the phone and made me feel a lil uncomfortable. I kept asking for help and they weren't very talkative or attentive, just pointed and left me talking. I ended up finding the wire, dude just starred at me while I was telling him that's what I was looking for, and the lady later told me it was a customers.... In plane view by showcased items? Ok I guess.. was looking to ask them if they could order me some and neither of them wanted to help. So I end up heading to Mandos Stereo and man what a difference! Greeted me as soon as I got there and I definitely felt welcome. Told him what I needed and he ends up hookin' it up!
