Tacos Marlyn El Centro — Restaurant in El Centro

I’ve been coming to Tacos Marlyn since I was a child, both here and in Mexicali, and it’s always been one of my favorite spots. The food has never disappointed me: it’s my comfort food, and I always know what I'm paying for.

But today I just had an experience that truly ruined my visit. As a female customer, I was shocked when the server who took my order asked me if I was pregnant. That is not only unprofessional, but also a very personal and inappropriate question to ask any customer. In a restaurant, I expect to enjoy my food in peace, not to be put in an uncomfortable situation by an employee’s careless comment.

I still tried to enjoy my two tostadas and fish taco (because I had decided to do so), but honestly, after that, the experience was simply not the same. Employees should be trained to understand boundaries: customers are not family or friends—we come here for good food and respectful service. Please take this feedback seriously, because while the food is delicious, respect matters...

Holy Pescado Tacos is this fresh!!! Do it. Eat here if you like fish tacos. This place will make you love them! Fresh everything. Top your own taco's if you are staying in to eat. Fresh toppings to choose from. Very flavor full and I am so glad I stopped in. Reasonable prices for high quality food. Bottled Coke available here as well. So, so good. Did I mention how fresh the food is?

Food is very flavorable and delicious. The prices are not the most expensive. Probably middle ground, but definitely worth it for what you get here. I ordered fish tacos, the fish and the the toppings were very fresh and reminded me of Baja, and I also got a agua Chile tostada, which was delicious.
