My husband’s family has been coming here since he was a little boy. They’re family oriented and they serve authentic Mexican breakfasts, stews and soups. On the weekends, potatoes are served with their breakfast plates. Each dish is packed full of flavors. I absolutely love their eggs with veggies. Their bacon is crispy and thick! Their Cafe de Olla is made to perfection, a coffee with notes of cinnamon and sweetened with brown sugar. They have a variety of seasonal agua frescas so always ask what they’re serving. Plenty of space for families to gather for breakfast after church. They have two dining rooms. They also sell local honey from Brawley, milk candies, candied peanuts. There’s about 12 spots in the parking lot so you may need to park in the neighborhood that has plenty of parking. Prices are up there with the changing economy. Coffee is over $4, and breakfast plates range from $15-$19

I hate to be such a “Karen”, but what a shame, the food was great but was ruined by poor service. For one, we asked for cups of ice water, and the server brought us bottles of water. Secondly, the prices on the menu have not been updated at all. My father ordered the chorizo con huevo which were listed on the menu as 14.99, however, on the receipt they were listed as 19.99! The same goes for myself and my mother. She orders two sopes which were listed on the menu as 4.75, yet on the receipt they were shown to be 5.99 each. And to make it worse, they charged for three sopes although my mom ordered just two. As for myself I ordered the chilaquiles which were great, the menu had them listed as 12.99 and were then charged as 16.99 on the menu. That is ridiculous. Never again just based on service and the deception on the menu.

Delicious. Special Sauce is very mild yet extremely flavorful. There is a lot of salt on the corn tortilla chips that are served if you eat in. But if you've ever used fresh yellow corn tortillas to make fried chips, you know the chips will tend to taste like fritos. So you/ they have to add salt. I would suggest lime or lemon on the chips as opposed to all of the salt. The red salsa - that comes with the chips is hot and very good. The green salsa is chunky and milder than the red salsa. LOVED THE WHOLE BEANS!!!!!!!! They are cooked to perfection!!!! And, it is super hard to cook whole beans in mass and have the amount of flavor and lack of 'beaniness'. I can 'taste' that they properly soak their beans and prepare the beans with wonderful seasonings and meat/fat. EXCELLENT!!

First and last, if you don't mind unnecessary waiting this is your place, I order a plate of menudo and 20 minutes later still waiting, when I ask why the hold up for a simple plate of menudo that's already prepared the waitress say " I'm sorry but we serve by table order, and the 12 party next to you was here first" well I complain and finally they brought the menudo but, no tortillas and again it took 3 "miss, please, I already ask for the tortillas" The menudo was ok, nothing special actually a little over cook, for what I saw in another plates the food "looks good" Oh, one more thing, they only have 1 restroom and I had to wait for about 10 minutes because one of the male waitress was inside talking on the phone i know because he didn't lock the door and I accidentally walk in and I waited outside and I hear him on the phone but no flushing and no running water so he didn't...
