We decided to try Project N1 after playing at our home field at CPP for some time as it's only about 50 minutes from Palmdale and we wanted to check out other fields with this one being on our list. Upon arrival, we were greeted kindly by the man in the front and instructed to fill out waivers. After paying, we received our gear and prepared for chrono. Pricing was very fair and affordable. Our first issue came during the briefing. Ref was very chummy with regulars, with little attention given to newcomers or casual players. Rules were not clearly stated, and there was a comment from the referee that if we broke a rule, he "would shoot us," which was a first. During our game, we encountered a significant safety concern. One player repeatedly hit me from no more than 6-7 feet and both hits drawing blood and running down my arm, and couple times more on my neck - with the field's claimed limits of 350 FPS and 1.12 joules and hurting significantly more. For comparison, at other fields, including Battle Labs, similar and but even with allowing higher FPS resulted in only 2 blood drawing hits from a point blank - face to face distance shots - and a couple of blood blisters by the end of the night. This was either a chrono calibration issue or not regulating bb weights. By the end of the day, I counted 14 hits that drew blood and 26 blood blisters - the worst and unsafest experience yet. Additionally, my girlfriend being on the other team overheard some players being rude and riding their egos, making negative comments about our play style and creating tension. My girlfriend's sister, who was trying the sport for the first time, was repeatedly team-killed, which ruined her experience. Of course not necessarily the fault of the field itself, but this is the community that is here regularly. Team balancing was another concern. After around 40 rounds, our team only won about four, and the referee made no effort to adjust teams or balance gameplay. At the end of the night, the ref's response to my thanks for reffing our games monotone and sounding bothered with a "uh-huh" while laughing and smiling with the regulars all night long, which felt unwelcoming--especially after the long drive. The person at the front desk once again was friendly and wished us a safe trip, but the overall experience was very negative. Therefore, while there were a few friendly players and the man upfront being kind, safety issues, lack of clear rules with no briefing and asking for everyone's attention, unbalanced teams, and unwelcoming behavior make this field a difficult choice for casual or new players. We would recommend newcomers consider other fields with clearer regulations and a safer, more inclusive...
Read moreI have been at N1 a couple of times with my 10 year old. We are new to airsoft and at first I was worried but after being at N1 I can’t say enough good things about this place!
From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and safe even though we did not know much about airsoft, the staff was professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. They do not feel fake or overly intrusive. I must say they are very clear on rules which I loved because those rules keept it safe for my son. You can tell the rules are followed by the regulars too, and that gave me confidence to let my kid go in. When they explained how to handle his airsoft gun, it felt serious, but it is, so I really appreciate that too.
The regular players made us feel welcomed and my son (who tends to be shy) ended feeling comfortable and even playing around beyond what I even thought he would. My son is only 10, and I really loved that there was another kid his age there and a couple teenagers which made us feel even better. Oh and I must mention, I did not hear anyone cursing which I was grateful for.
It meant so much to me to see adults looking out for my kid, making sure he felt safe and included. Once my kid raised his hand to show he had been hit, no one shot again. Even if he was about to be hit and if he raised his hand, they would take that as a hit and let him go to out without having to shoot him! Talk about sportsmaship!!
I dont write many reviews, but going to N1 has been a big deal for us. We know we found our spot at N1. Not to say that my son does not get nervous at first, but every visit has been a fantastic experience for him. He leaves with a huge smile and I see he is getting stronger and better at doing scary things. We can’t wait to go back. This place has the perfect balance of fun, safety, and real airsoft. Truly an...

I’ve been a regular player at N1 with my brother, and like many others, we mainly went because of the convenient location. However, a recent experience completely changed how I view the staff and the overall environment.
It’s clear there’s a close-knit inner circle among the staff and a handful of regulars — a group that seems exempt from the rules. Staff are often seen joking around and engaging in horseplay, but when others act similarly, it’s treated very differently.
In a recent game, I traded hits with a staff member and, as we walked to the dead box, I lightly tapped him and referenced an inside joke. To my surprise, he got upset and told me not to touch him. Moments later, I was confronted by several staff who claimed he was a minor and that my behavior was inappropriate and I should know better as an 18 year old — despite the fact that this same individual had jokingly hit a much younger player earlier that game.
I tried to explain and apologize, but was shut down and accused of instigating. The entire situation felt blown out of proportion and handled in a very one-sided, unprofessional way.
Unfortunately, this experience made it clear that if you’re not part of the staff’s inner circle, you’re held to a different standard. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend N1 to anyone expecting fairness or...
