Tough. Went in today with the hope of buying some prismatic. It’s on some “promotional deal”. No clue what that means. Even offered to pay market as those are hard to come by and I understand. But was unable to purchase outright. Was also tough to see some Paradox rift single packs for like $8.99 a pack, when my local dollar general sells them for $4.49. And they’re usually in stock because let’s be honest, who really wants those packs. Journey together ETB was $105 and TCG value is like $63. The prices were just pulled out of random areas for sealed product’s. There were no prices on singles. Asked the worker and he did tell me the price, however he also referenced I could look at their website. I don’t care to scroll on my phone to find prices. You can just mark the cards accordingly. And if you don’t want to sit down and price your cards in a changing market, well unfortunately that’s your fault. Yeah a website can automatically change and fluctuate it for you -per the employee at the store. But I don’t want to continuously pull out my phone. I walked around the store a few times to try and find something to buy and support, but all the sealed stuff was unfortunately over market… it wasn’t a horrible experience, just wasn’t one I’m used to as well as I drive all over the place trying to find awesome TCG shops. Unfortunately I drove 38 minutes on a Sunday afternoon and was pretty let down. Can’t say I won’t ever go back. But I hope they can align with the market...
Read moreI called to ask if they have pokemon celebrations cards in stock. I was super shocked to hear they do. Until he told me the price. $100 for an elite trainer box with an MSRP of $49.99. Thats a terrible business motto. Then I read the reviews and the owners response to them, talking about how much they give back to the community. Typical greedy businessman rhetoric. " Hey I know were ripping you off but we donated a bunch of money as a tax write off so its totally ok ". Ridiculous. Go to the gaming goat where you will be treated fairly.
Update to owner response :
You are entitled to your opinion. But if you want to compare your prices to other internet price gougers then atleast list one that isn't still $10 cheaper than what you are selling it for. You guys used to be a gaming goat. But you chose to not be a part of that franchise because they hold you to a higher more ethical standard. You cant justify selling a $49.99 msrp product for $100. Thats why you still have stock. Every gaming goat in the area sold it for $49.99 when it released. Good luck with your current business model. We'll see if you're still around when the Pokemon...
Read moreFirst time and last time I will ever go into that store. First thing I noticed was that it is very poorly lit the place looks closed. But after actually walking through the door The one loan employee, there was not very eagerly to help me with purchasing some magic cards. Even though there were literally hundreds of cards in the glass case in front of me, he was extremely reluctant to show me any of them. He just kept referring me to the website. I came into the store to purchase items, not be told that I should go to a website. even after I told him that I was just looking for a few cards to get started and that I have been on many websites, I wanted some personal help to pick out a few cards. This he was unwilling to do he just kept referring me to their website. I would definitely look elsewhere for any magic cards that you may wanna purchase. Because you will not get good service at this establishment. It was hard for me to even give this one star I wish they would make a half star it would be more fitting for the...
