Absolutely appalled by my visit to this store tonight. As my kids and I were walking through the first aisle, two employees were talking next to a cart that one of them was filling the cold vegetables with. One of them (Sergio) said something to the other along the lines of ''I didn't see s**t'' while my 12 year old daughter was standing right there. I said to him ''excuse me, you may want to watch your language while there are children around". He looked at me and then turned back to the other employee he was talking to. I said again ''excuse me, please watch your language in front of my children". He looked at me again and said ''I heard you". I said ''Pardon me?'' and he said again, "I heard you" and turned away from me. I said ''I know you heard me but an apology would be nice'' in which he replied two more times, ''I heard you, I heard you". I told him that I was going to speak to a manager about this and he looked at me and said ''good for you''.
As I was walking away I asked the person he was talking to if she was a manager and she said yes so I asked to speak with her. She sat there for a minute and repeated myself so she said ''I heard you already, come here so we can talk". I told her to come to me since I didn't want to block the main aisle and she looked at me in shock like a deer in headlights. I proceeded to explain to her my disgust with Sergio swearing in front of my kids and the first thing she said was "I didn't hear him swear'' to which I replied "I don't care if you heard him or not, I heard him and so did my daughter''. I told her that I also didn't care for his attitude toward me when I called him out on it and that he was extremely dismissive. She said ''well, sir I did not hear him swear'' and I interrupted her and told her that I didn't care if she did or not because we did and that I was going to take my business elsewhere. She replied ''I am trying to apologize on his behalf but you aren't being level headed''. I asked to speak to the store manager but she said he had left for the day. I asked her for her name and with incredible attitude towards me, she said Lekeisha Reed. When I called her out on her attitude she told me that I was the one giving the attitude.
I will never shop at this location again, perhaps never at another Aldi again. I am disgusted with how I was treated especially since I did nothing wrong. I simply called out an employee for swearing and being extremely unprofessional and condescending when it was pointed out to him. Absolutely...
Read moreDon't go to this Aldi. Go to any other location heck even the streamwood one is fine. They're rude and unprofessional at this location. There is some worker named Bella who had some troubling demeanor. She rudely walked around the entire store yelling at customers to leave. She did not say they were closed just rudely said " you gotta go" didn't say please go pay for your items we're closed. She simply yelled at customers to leave. She threw up some concerning signs at us. Probably gang signs. I asked another employee for her name and why she was so rude. The employee defended her actions without even hearing what I had been through. She said she's just doing her job and told me she was not being rude. I've worked retail before and was never told to kick people out 2 minutes into the store being closed. They did not announce the store was closing like they usually do. It was 8:02 when she made her rounds barking at people to get out. They closed at 8. We were confused, we've been sick for a few weeks and also dealing with only one vehicle since my hyundai's engine went out. So yeah this was the first time we had even been able to get to the store in a few days. We were not even done shopping. She stood by and intimidated people into walking towards the registers. She barked orders at people telling them to use the self checkout even though she could have also helped check people out. I don't want to shop where rude & unprofessional workers intimidate customers. This location heavily reminded me of walmart. I did not know Aldi was going downhill like this. I'm a hard-core Aldi shopper but now I don't think I'll be back at...
Read moreI typically enjoy going to this Aldi's. The employees are typically very kind hard-working and keep the store clean and produce fresh. This time at checkout I was quite turned off at the employee who was checking out the shoppers. The young mother in front of me with maybe a 9 month old baby and just a few things in her cart had to pay for her groceries with coins. The employee wasn't even sure if they were currency used in the United States so over the loudspeaker she requested assistance on knowing what a dollar coin was. It was clearly American currency. Well she was counting the money which were all primarily dollar coins she continued to ask the young mother what each coin was. Which I felt was quite rude because the young lady turned to using the coins because she didn't have enough money on her state funded food card which I only knew because the employee was very clear what the card was and how much money was on it. As the checkered finally completed counting the $9 in coins she told the young ladies she was $0.03 short the young lady didn't have any more money and that I'd have to go to my vehicle the checkered then told her she would suspend the order and wait for her to come back for the $0.03 I was dumbfounded. I asked to check her please don't make her do that I have change right here and assisted the young lady she was quite thankful but didn't but she went through some embarrassment. I kind of wonder if some people feel the need to make other people feel small. Maybe a little class would have gone a lot further in this situation and made the store...
