We are new to the area and didn't know about the market. We were about to pass it during an aimless weekend drive. As soon as I saw the sign, I swerved into a parking space. I can't resist a fruit stand.
Imagine my astonishment as I entered the store to find half the market is a vast array of every kind of candy imaginable. A huge space filled with countertops of chocolate bob-bons and the colorful delicacies of childhood.
My husband thinks chocolate is a major food group. He can't stand watching me choose tomatoes from a produce bin, so I couldn't get him out of the car.
I spent 20 minutes buying him 2 pounds of his favorite chocolates.
