I dropped boat cushions off at end of February so that we could make sure and have them done before “boating season”. Jeff had even made the comment when I dropped off that it was good because I had beat the rush that would be coming in a few weeks with everyone bringing stuff in last minute before summer. I had asked the day I delivered if they needed a deposit and jeff told me no. I had a checkbook in the car and would have gladly given them a deposit. After 5 weeks we got a phone call saying they had not put us in line for work yet because they did not have a deposit from us. Obviously I was very frustrated! Jeff’s wife told me that she would honor my initial drop off date as this mix up was not our fault and told me that they were a little behind but that they would be done the last week of April. We mailed our deposit out that same day. The next time I heard from Jeff’s wife was the last week of April and she called me stating they could not find a match for one of the colors on our cushions. This was almost 8 weeks after my initial drop off and also the week they should have been DONE as promised by Jeff’s wife and this was the 1st I had heard about this issue they were having matching it. I was frustrated and told her that they had done these same colors on an order for us a couple years prior and then asked if they would be done by Memorial Day weekend. That would have been giving them almost 12 weeks from the day of drop off to complete the job. She said she couldn’t gaurentee anything. I then requested our deposit of $400 back and that I wanted to come pick up our cushions and bring them somewhere else. She said that would not be possible for them to give me back the refund because this was not their fault. I then went back and told her again, what exactly had happened from the beginning with this whole mess. Her response she said back to me initially was, “whatever” very rudely. I was very frustrated at this point because not only has this been a mess from the beginning, there was zero apology and frankly she was horribly rude! She told me they had already ordered one of the colors and that I would have to pay for what had been ordered . She finally agreed to give me our deposit back but I had to subtract the price of the fabric, which again to me seemed just crazy as they had not followed through with any promises at this point. . I picked up the cushions the next morning and Jeff did apologize to me. It is a bummer because we had a lot of friends and family who used Colbath but all have agreed they won’t be going back after hearing our story. It was very unfortunate, and the customer service from his wife was honestly horrible. We will not be doing business with this...
Read moreI had reached out to Jeff and Cheryl regarding re-upholstering two chairs I had inherited from my grandpa. They took great care of me (and the chairs!) from start to finish and far exceeded any expectations. I was not sure what condition the chairs would be in underneath their previous fabric and I appreciated Jeff reaching out and giving me an update of how things looked before he started repairs. I couldn't believe my eyes when we picked the chairs up tonight - amazing craftsmanship. All in all, Jeff and Cheryl were very responsive and flexible - I could not say more good things and will definitely work with them...
Read moreWe had our couch cushions refilled about one year ago and it was expensive, but just an average job after their second attempt. I tried to get a quote on refinishing my deck chairs recently and he was very rude. They definitely have the attitude of you need them more than they need your business. If you enjoy giving your money to someone who is rude and non-customer oriented then choose them. If you don't appreciate rudeness and a lack of appreciation for your business, then...
