Absolute WORST car rental experience Iāve had. Rented out of San Diego, CA. Our rental had broken down on us at one point and we waited almost an hour for a jump. Not even 20 minutes later, it broke down AGAIN and had to wait another 20 minutes for another jump. We of course called and was able to switch out our rental vehicle. Spoke with someone about getting a discount for our troubles, only took off $20. We ended up staying 2 extra days so we called and paid the extra money for the extra days. The very next day I got charged $80 (she wanted to charge me $200) for a ālate fee.ā I drove up there immediately and spoke with a manager because I clearly talked to someone the previous night about extending. They ended up refunding me $71 and also gave me another night free due to the troubles caused. Well .. thatās not the end of this nightmare. We returned the car when we were supposed to, full tank of gas and completely clean. Guess what I never got? My $250 deposit I was supposed to get after we returned the car. The deposit was taken immediately when I rented the car and I have receipts showing where I was supposed to get roughly $310 total back on my card (the extra money accounted for the free days, discounts, etc) and I have still never received that money. Itās been over a month now. I emailed, called, everything I could do. I will NEVER go through this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWaited in line for over an hour, which wasnāt a huge deal since I arrived fairly early. I reserved a minivan for a family vacation including two small children requiring large car seats. I reserved this weeks in advance since I knew vans were harder to get. After I walk away from the counter with the directions to my car in the garage I noticed on the emailed only receipt that they had given me a mid size SUV not a mini van. I went back to the counter and waited for the agent to finish with another customer. He then told me they gave away the last 2 vans while I was in line. There was zero mention of this while I was signing paperwork otherwise I would have cancelled the reservation. Magically another one appeared when I told him I would need to cancel if they did not have the vehicle I reserved. I went to the garage to retrieve said van and another customer was driving away in it as I walked off the elevator. I wondered aimlessly around for a bit hoping maybe they just told me the wrong location. Finally an employee asked if I needed help and he confirmed that vehicle was indeed gone. Went to another counter in the garage and another agent was able to help me secure the vehicle I had originally reserved. All in all the process took about 2 hours. So if you have loads of free time and enjoy waiting in lines then Payless is for you....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreZero Customer Satisfaction and the most unhelpful staff at Cincinnati airport, drop pff location. I wish I could give them zero star! 1- Address given in the google map was not correct and directed me to the main arrival airport passenger door where the passenger shuttles or Uber cares have a short stop to drop off! I had to turn arround the airport several times to find the new drop off location that took me about an hour! 2- At drop off location, their scanner did not work and the car was pulled out even before it was checked for body check/mileage. We were about to miss the flight as they had me waiting more than an hour to find the car in their lot and give me the final receipt. 3- I was charged more than $60 extra for 2-hour late drop off that was mainly due to wrong google map address and their very slow check out process! 4- The lady named Morgan that worked in drop off location ( share with Avis and Budget) was absolutely unhelpful and rude and purposely gave me wrong info couple of times when I asked questions! 5- There is a confusion of what company is running check out process as it seems like there is apparently a cooperation between Payless, Avis and Budget rentals, but the bad thing is that it was very disorganized and no body knows ( or pretends not to know!!!)...
