DG Market — Local services in Essex

The bad review by Pressure is all a lie. This person went into an area in the back of the store and tried to buy product being returned to the manufacturer. When the manager tried to explain this to her that the items were not for sale she became very angry and combative and started pushing the manager. While the manager was on the phone to the police, the lady hit/assaulted the manager. The whole incident was caught on camera and the police informed the lady of this and that if the manager wanted, she could press charges and have her arrested for assault. She was also told that she is no longer allowed in the store. I'm writing this because I feel everyone should know the truth of what happened. Randy, who is an employee at this DG, gave me a very positive experience my last time previously shopping here. I was in the process of checking out with him but didn't have enough cash to cover my purchase. Without hesitation, Randy helped pay for some of my items that I couldn't afford. I can't thank him enough for helping me, as I was in a tough spot financially, and I hope next time I can return the favor. Randy has always been very welcoming and friendly every time I come into the store, which always makes me look forward to shopping there....

I was stopped by the manager as I was checking out the register with my penny shopping items. She proceeded to try to push me aside and stop me from purchasing the dog treats I planned on donating to the local shelters. She told me she was allowed to tell me I can’t purchase these items then after the e transaction went through she called the police on me after assaulting me in the first place. It is public knowledge that they are not allowed to refuse the sale of penny items to customers. Corporate will be getting called and a lawsuit...
