I’ve had the pleasure of using this sports facility for the past several months, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best around. The facilities are top-notch, with well-maintained courts, and plenty of space. What really stands out, though, is the coaches—they are professional, friendly, and clearly dedicated to fostering a positive, challenging environment for all athletes.

I understand that some negative reviews stem from situations where kids don’t make the team, but I truly believe this is a reflection of high standards and a commitment to creating competitive, skill-based teams rather than any form of bias or unfairness. It’s natural for parents to feel disappointed, but the truth is that these decisions are made to challenge the kids and help them grow in the long run. My child has gained so much confidence here, not just in their sport, but in their overall teamwork and discipline.

My son and I live in Oregon and are visiting family in Southeast CT for 2+ weeks. He plays competitive baseball and has a couple of Showcases to attend as soon as we return to OR which means he needs to keep hitting while we are here. The closest batting facility I could find was in either Columbia or Bloomfield which are an hour away. Someone mentioned Homefield to me so I looked it up and gave them a call. We set up a time and drove the 23 minutes to the facility. Fantastic facility which is set up for multiple sports. The batting area was just what we needed. We didn’t bring his bats on the trip east but the facility was able to loan us a bat that was perfect for what he needed…to get some swings in. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating, which we greatly appreciated. My son even mentioned that if he lived here then he would be there all the time working out. Such a disappointment to the club volleyball community! Tryouts were a joke to the girls that have passion and talent! The girls had no opportunity to show their full potential because of how unorganized the tryouts were, there was only an hour to tryout for a full gym worth of girls. ALSO there was a number of girls who did not tryout both days and still gotten accepted onto the team BEFORE tryouts were finished. This is unfair to the girls who were not qualified to tryout because of high school volleyball and states. NOT to mention girls that played for Homefield the previous season did not receive a letter on time or at all. There are NUMEROUS amount of club volleyball teams that will give you your moneys worth. But homefield is crazy expensive for an unorganized, terrible...
