Walgreens — Local services in Essex

Should be no stars but google won’t print without at least one. I have been a customer of this Walgreens for decades, but whomever is in charge now is absolutely abysmal. My insurance changed recently. I have spent almost my entire day today, either in store, or on eternal hold trying to resolve the paperwork so I can pick up a daily prescription which runs out tomorrow (I wasn’t notified there was an issue until today, despite calling the prescription in last week). The final straw was being left on hold for over an hour and a half, then effectively being hung up on at 7p when they closed the pharmacy. The staff picked up the phone at 7p, but left it on the counter without speaking to me. I could hear them talking to each other. Despite repeated attempts shouting I was still on the line, they simply ignored me. I have been given the run around for the entire day over something that should have been a simple clerical fix - and I still don’t have my prescription. Everyone should boycott this Walgreens. The service is horrific and they have zero respect for their customers. Time to...

Pharmacy closed abruptly on Saturdays and Sundays with no notice starting Oct 14th, 2021 Cashier's make comment to go to Westbrook or Deep River locations, but how would that help with any filled prescriptions? I can see if you have prescriptions in your hand. But most are called in or refilled in the store. This is horrible mis-managing and they can't just try to blame on lack of pharmacists working there. Either pay better, give good incentives for current working Pharmacists to work extra days for now till more are hired or transfer in some from other locations. How about instead of being open till 9pm or so Mon-Fri in the pharmacy try reducing those hours back to maybe 7 and that frees up 10 hours right there. Manager of this store should be fired and there needs to be some sort of forward thinking person running this...

Came here to redeem my $5 coupon if you spend $15. I wanted to buy 3 protein milk shakes for a total of $14.62. Once they refused to put the coupon through, they proceeded to say the coupon wouldn’t even take $5 off the order when they had previously told me that it would take it off the current order. Then I said I would spend $15 and they proceeded to say that there’s nothing in the building under $1.50 so then I’d have to spend some $16.50. Poor customer service, false advertising, and not a very convenient store especially when the cheapest item is over $1.50. I’ll be bringing my business to CVS...
