Long story short: I’m not a fancy person, I don’t get nail extensions or designs, I like natural shapes and colors on my nails. And the experience here is inconsistent, and unreliable. They don’t listen when you tell them what you want and they overcharge you for things you never asked for. I’m never coming back.
Full story: I’ve been coming here for many years (probably close to 10 years), Maria was my go to tech but she left and I don’t know where… I’ve had a handful of bad experiences seeing other techs but the good experiences with Maria were the norm. It just seems like the experience has become increasingly more unreliable in the last year and a half as I try to find my new favorite nail tech. For example, last year I came in before my bachelorette and again before my bridal shower and had good experiences, I saw different people both times. When I made my appointment for my wedding, I let them know it was for my wedding and I needed someone good and reminded them it was for my wedding when when I checked in… and they gave me this guy who didn’t know what chrome powder was or how to apply it, even with the help of two other nail techs periodically over his shoulder, he ruined my nail shape that had been perfected over the last two visits and gave me a lumpy and bulbous dip manicure. Really frustrating because obviously photos were being taken of my hands on my wedding day.
Fast forward to this summer, I come in after 3-4 months without a pedicure, visibly pregnant with swollen and sore feet and legs. I received the least empathic pedicure and “massage” I was really looking forward to some relief and she barely touched me. I wore sandals the following weekend to my parents house and my mom suggested I get a pedicure soon… because aside from the polish…my cuticles and heels don’t look like they’ve gotten any attention recently.
Yesterday, only because I had a gift certificate, I come in to pamper myself before my baby shower this weekend, now a month away from my due date. For some reason the nail tech is looking at me like I’m crazy when I check in to my appointment, I’ve been told for the last two weeks by my coworkers I look like I’m due any day now- so maybe she was alarmed I was going to go into labor.. idk. But it doesn’t feel good to be looked at like that when you’re 9 months pregnant and swollen all over your body. I tell her I know exactly what colors I want and start to walk over to the polish wall after washing my hands to find the bottles, she insists I come sit at the pedicure station instead of letting me take my colors off the wall and hands me a book of nail colors. Again, I tell her I know exactly what nail colors I want and show her a picture of the two opi bottles with the names of the colors. She goes back and forth from the polish wall 4 times, showing me different brand nail polishes and I just keep repeating myself each time she returns with something different than what I asked for. She gives up on the colors and starts my pedicure, I spend the entire pedicure irritated and expecting this color battle to continue… and it does.. after two more attempts to get me to pick different colors she finally comes back with what I asked for. I was so irritated, I couldn’t even tell you if the pedicure was enjoyable.
Then we get to my dip manicure, I tell her I like my nails “rounded and natural looking”, She files them into an unnatural almond shape, and can tell I’m unhappy as I am looking at them and asks if that’s what I wanted… I say “it’s fine” because I’m tired of fighting at this point and afraid of how much shorter she will make my nails if she tries to fix it.
At the time of check out, I’m charged $110 for a gel pedicure and dip manicure… as opposed to the $85 or $90 I usually pay…. Where is this extra $20 coming from??? She charged me $20 for shaping my nails into the almond shape i don’t like and never asked for.
I’m never coming back, this is supposed to be relaxing and you guys stress me out every...
Read moreI walked in on Thursday asked if they could do a dip powder I was told that they were busy and I could come back at 6 PM she looked me up in the system and said do you want Stanley because that's who I had in the past I said yes. Stanley asked me which color I wanted when I told him the number and pointed the color he got impatient with me and said no you don't want that 1 you want that 1 I didn't realize that the numbers coordinated with the colors above that was that incident then while he was doing my nails I went to put my hand into the UV light and he started saying no no no and got real nasty with me I didn't mean to put my hand into the UV light he then stated that he was trying to get me out early I said early at 7 o'clock And also I asked for a dip powder and he used gel nail polish when I went to check out I did provide him a tip I told him that I am never coming back to delete me in the computer because he made me upset I felt like he was trying to get me out of there he was annoyed when I got into my car I looked at my receipt and it showed that I got dip powder when I did not get dip powder and they charge me $5 off for taking the gel off when I already took it off myself I want a dip powder originally but for some reason he just started painting my nails with gel Polish I didn't say anything because the way he was acting I didn't want to be more upset so I...
Read moreI don't normally write reviews but I had to for this: My daughter tried this place 3 weeks ago. She had an appointment and still had to wait 30 minutes until she was taken back. She liked what they did so we went back two days ago and were told the wait would be 30 minutes. We decided to walk across the street and when we came back we were told that they thought we left, they looked outside and didn't see us (understandable) What I didn't like was that was at 7:00 p.m. and they close at 7:30. I said "what does that mean? you don't have time for us now?" and the woman said "no, sorry we don't have time to take you". I will never go back again. The place I normally go to will take you even at 745 when they close at 8 because they are customer first...
