King Wong - Marlton, NJ — Restaurant in Evesham Township

I want to start by giving everyone a fair warning about this place:✋🏼 You will never be able enjoy Chinese food anywhere else after you eat here.

This is chinese takeout done soooo right! Order here multiple times and its spectacular every 👏🏼 single👏🏼 time👏🏼 A few days ago, I was craving King Wong to the point that my mouth was watering. Since King Wong was too far away, I got Chinese takeout at a different restaurant that was closer to me that many reviews said had the best chinese food around... well 😔 the "extra crispy" Generals chicken was soggy doughy, mushy clumps, the beef lo mein was flavorless and ridiculously oily, and the hunan beef was full of mushy starchy beans. So today, I grabbed the opportunity when I saw I was able to drive the extra 30 minutes to get King Wong for dinner tonight 🙌🏼

Got generals chicken extra crispy, hunan beef, and beef lo mein. Everything was packed with flavor and HIGH quality ingredients. The hunan beef- other restaurants usually fill this dish up with just onion, celery, green bell peppers, carrots, and mushrooms. This hunan beef comes with all those things, AND yellow bell peppers, snow peas, tons of those baby corn cobs, and broccoli. And Finally! A place that actually serves extra crispy generals chicken when you ask for it. I came a bit late to pick up my order, drove 20 minutes to get home, and the chicken was STILL nice and crunchy. Thank you!!!😭

I will be ordering from here for as long as they're around. This owner knows his trade. He has got a passion for perfection and it shows. The food served here differs significantly from the MSG-laden takeout we are unfortunately too accustomed to. 10 out of 5 stars. Recommend to everyone. You'll really never be able to go back to other Chinese...

This was absolutely the BEST Chinese food that I have EVER eaten and I've sampled many places in my lifetime, TRUST ME!!! This was my first time here, recommended by my son, and not only was the food exceptionally flavorful, but the owner, Sonny, and his staff are very personable and friendly. I arrived at 6 PM on a Saturday night and the store was full. A great indication of the popularity. Sonny not only was cooking, but he also had time to talk to me and his customers. He expressed an interest in opening a larger dining restaurant in the future, as this store has limited seating, yet still commands a huge business base and many repeat customers. I HIGHLY recommend visiting here and trying some of the cuisine! You won't be disappointed!!! And lastly, for those who gave less than 3 stars and left a bad review...What planet are you from??? I read your reviews and they are ridiculous. Makes me wonder if they were posted for the competition in the area. I can guarantee, there is NO competition even close to the quality of food and...

Happened by King Wong while passing through at dinner time - glad we did. We had never seen a Chinese take-out restaurant with 5 stars so we were curious. They had 3 tables for our family of 5 to sit at so we ate there. While waiting for our food, a stream of locals came through, each one addressing the owner, Sonny, by name. He was right up front, running the show, and made sure customers got exactly what they ordered. Quality was first-rate - each dish had a different taste (not always the case with Chinese take-out), came out steaming hot, and was delicious. Wife and kids thought it was the best lo mein they had ever had. We thanked Sonny and he explained that his brother makes the sauces from scratch with a vegetable/soybean oil and no MSG. Left feeling pleasantly full and neither me or the wife had that post-Chinese food "blah" feeling that we've experienced at other restaurants.

This is a no-brainer - I will be driving by other restaurants to eat...
