Mikado — Restaurant in Evesham Township

Placed an order as I normally do (weekly) for my husband & I through Door Dash ... (sushi, shrimp tempura, and white rice)... what a mistake that was tonight! My tempura arrived stone cold, like it came out of a refrigerator...not "off the chill" ...stone cold! White rice was also a mess ... COLD! Was this even cooked?? I called Door Dash and asked for a re-delivery, and was told they were too busy and could only offer a credit to my account ... It gets better ... I contacted the restaurant and asked for the mgr ... I was told he was "too busy" to come to the phone ... great customer service, right? Especially after spending $100 for this order ... I waited until the manager came to the phone finally .. John ... another display of poor customer service! Told me not to order tempura for delivery ... (I told him we've been ordering it for over year now, via delivery, with no issues whatsoever! ) Said he could do another order and deliver to me when he wasn't busy ... I didn't trust that he'd show another order much care & attention, and declined another order.. Then continues to tell me how busy he is and "brushes" me off and hangs up on me! Really??? Not the way to retain a good customer ... I called back and "John" admitted to hanging up on me and said he will call me later ... I told him the damage is done, and not to bother calling ... Think twice about eating here, as they don't seem to have "quality" on their mind and menu anymore, which is a real shame ... my husband and I have gone to this restaurant for several years, but because of my surgery, we ordered delivery ... they normally take such care with their orders, but this missed the mark ... and management just doesn't care to hear about it!!!! With this attitude, they won't stay busy...

Subpar service , mediocre food and very overpriced . The portions were small compared to the prices that are charged . The take home containers are very cheap and flimsy . They don’t offer any Yum Yum sauce which is a staple for most Hibachi restaurants . Yum Yum sauce is an expectation when eating Hibachi food .They offer sauces that have a lot of ginger and there are no alternatives. Waiter never checked and asked if I wanted a refill on my lemonade . The food was mediocre compared to most Hibachi places . They charged me an extra $7 for a chicken and shrimp combo and only gave my 5 pieces of shrimp. They charged my husband $10.50 for two weak and watered down alcoholic drinks. Our bill was overcharged by at least $20. The waiter stood in front of us after swiping our card for the bill and watched us like a hawk when filling out the gratituity slip . Soon as I signed the paper , he snatched it off the table and ran and took it to some random restaurant worker in the front . On the way out , he confronted us about not leaving a tip and demanded that we tip He never cared to ask how the service was and if we were satisfied with the experience . We explained that the service was poor and that the meal and drinks were overpriced for what we received. The worker told us that we should go to a different restaurant next time. How rude ,entitled , and unprofessional ! We normally tip when we go out , but they didn’t deserve it .They didn’t care about our food experience and didn’t care to even ask . They just demanded a tip like it’s owed to them when they haven’t earned it . Needless to say , we won’t be returning to this place . They must be struggling with business and not making...

This place is ridiculous! They must be going through financial struggles in a bad way. On 4/28/17 I took my 15yr old daughter her friend from school and 8yr old out to dinner one Friday night. Our first time their and the kids loved it! I'm from the city and frequently eat at Japanese / Hibachi restaurants so unlike the kids, I immediately notice the quality of the restaurant was low. The bathroom is trashy like a McDonald's or Wendy and the food was good but small portions of meat and tons of rice. The kids needed extra shrimp and extra chicken to have a real meal but no biggie they were enjoying themselves eating that extremely dry ass chicken LoL Never had dry hibachi chicken lol But whatever we ate the kids were happy and my bill was $143.07 exact! That's not including the tip!! Paid and tip than left no biggie. Last night the kids wanted to go out again I suggested this place because I work in center city Philadelphia so I'm tired from my commute and this place is literally 5 mts from our house so we all go. The manager comes to our table after sitting us down and stated the last time we were their we did not give a big enough tip and if we were to stay they would need 18% of the bill as a tip!! I said what!! This dump!! I gave a pretty good tip and paid a pretty large bill and it was weeks ago so for them to remember us and our tip was crazy lol they are extremely offensive, trashy over price and obviously Brooke! One star is all they get for my kids loovveed Jevin the chief. That's it one darn star and they are lucky the got that! Trashy nasty Brooke place needs to be closed...
