Norwood Park — Attraction in Fairmont

My family and I went to Norwood park for the first time today and we are coming back again this weekend! My children 4.5 and 1.5 years old absolutely loved this play area. There was something for all ages and my oldest loved the natural hillside with built in slides they put in. There’s multiple slides, the playset itself is multi level but built into the landscape so it has a ramp for wheelchair access. There’s multiple music stations and interactive stations as well. They also incorporated natural looking stumps, rocks. Other features include multiple slides and climbing walls, a glider swing, a rope swing, a giant multi person swing, individual child and infant swings, and two ride on merry go rounds. I’m 33 years old and I honestly had a blast chasing my kids around here. I’m sure I missed something because this place was jam packed with fun!

Finally a playground like they have down near tourist beach locations! This reminds me of Savannah’s playground in Myrtle Beach, SC but it’s right here in our own back yard! Thank you to the city of Fairmont or to whoever funded this beautiful place.
