Nice asphalt walking/biking trail with a long tunnel near the trail head a couple of blocks off of East Park Avenue. There is limited off street parking but cars can also park in the adjacent grassy area. Part of the trail between the Meredith Tunnel and Pricketts Fort apparently washed away during heavy rains so pay close attention when riding a bicycle. At Prickets Fort, there is a bridge that crosses over the river & then the trail becomes gravel and follows along the Monongahela River. The trail evidently goes to Morgantown but I have only riden to the area just across the river from Rivesville. A couple of miles from the Bridge at Pricketts Fort, the trail becomes quite narrow & crosses a paved road.

This is a nice trailhead! There is parking for several vehicles. Nice paved trail! The MC Trail runs to Pricketts Fort State Park. Once at Pricketts Fort, you can continue to ride to the Mon River Rail Trail System to Morgantown and beyond! The MC Trail will be a part of the Parkersburg to Pittsburgh Trail (P2P) which will link the North Bend Trail and Mon River Rail Trail System!

The trail was awesome. There was a sign that states that the pavement was uneven but so much of it was covered by leaves it was hard to see and I ended up twisting my ankle a bit while I was running. Other than that it was absolutely beautiful.

LOVE this trail EXCEPT the tunnel. Half of the lights are burnt out and there are creepy doorways every 50 feet that a predator could hide in. I never feel safe in their. The town needs to invest in better lighting and a bright white paint job. As is, I dont advise any parent allowing their daughter (or son) to walk through that tunnel alone. Other than the creepy dark tunnel this trail is absolutely a wonderful place to spend time either exercising or just getting...
