We tried the Fried Green Tomato BLT. As far as walk up fair food goes, these were very good. They had long lines, but moved people through quickly and were very friendly. If you’re there this year and the FGT BLT sounds good, stop and give them a try.

Just had my first experience at the MN state fair today, and the highlight for me was my visit to the MN Farmers Union Coffee Shop. They had a coupon for their frappe, but I needed a jolt to get me through the afternoon dragging my kids around the fair. I asked the kid at the counter to give me a shot of espresso in it, but he said he couldn't. Luckily, THE boss lady came up and said she could do it, and it was an 11/10! My wife is picky with coffee, but even she said it was awesome! Hands down one of the best concoctions I've ever had. ...
