Consumers beware. The store does fraudulent transactions if a customer pays using Electronics Benefits Transfer funds. They will have items that are placed throughout the store which are grocery staples and these items ring up for more than 10 times with the actual value or market price. I became aware that this business is running a racket and I'm on to their sneaky, illegal business tactics. There are store clerks that completely that customer service skills and profile customers based on appearance or race. A lot of the produce isn't fresh and is packaged in a way to hide that it is rotten. I found a lot of the items in the store aren't fresh and are dusty because they have been sitting there. I don't trust the sale by or used by dates in the store, and I have reasonable suspicion that there are counterfeit food items being sold. I have been watching and investigating this business for some time now since they opened in my community and I am sharing my Intel with the public and making sure that they are no longer able to abuse consumers and this city. If you choose to shop here, know that you have better options. Pretty much everything here is overpriced and you can get a much better deal at market basket. This place was formerly Daou Market the store operated very differently then. They steal, commit benefits fraud, the store isnt clean, and the food is either fake or not fresh. If you examine expiration dates on the goods you'll easily spot that something is off. You've...
Read moreBEWARE!! I’m sorry but how does this store have good reviews at all??!! This store is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE! I usually check the dates but on this flat bread I bought they had no date, which is should’ve known was suspect! Also any food they have in their own containers STAY AWAY FROM, it’s almost guaranteed to be old! This could be a great store because they have so much variety but selling people old food or being to lazy to restock with fresh food is why is store won’t make it! The flat bread I bought from there I made my husband a sandwich and realized when I went to make myself one it was full of mold! I used to come here when it was Daou Market and always had those same issues, so I would only to there for Pita Bread (they would have delivered wkly) and the Garlic spread which this store still sells. I have since started making my own FRESH garlic spread and Pita bread they now sell at stop and shop! I will never shop here again! I can’t believe no one has gotten food poisoning or very sick from...
Read moreThis is my FAVORITE market EVER! I'm Lebanese so maybe I'm a little biased but the owners/employees really do make sure you're getting exactly what you're looking for as some items can be confusing. You're satisfaction is also guaranteed because their pre-made Lebanese food is made by people from Lebanon so you're getting authenticity! It's not the market to go to if you're on a budget because you're getting the FRESHEST, top-quality ingredients and that's obviously going to cost a little more but it's worth it, believe me! After all, the word "DAOU" means "FRESH" in Arabic! ...
