Excellent experience so far at Bristol Community College! I enrolled in June of 2024 for online classes & I am proud to say that this institution is a SUPER well-run oiled machine! Little to no issues, very knowledgeable professors & IT staff. The staff is also VERY responsive, attentive & aim for their students to truly master their majors while navigating the college journey smoothly. These actions are shown in the continuous course transparency, the quality of the material & expectations presented to be adhered to.
The Fall River facility is BEAUTIFUL, I visited it once earlier this year (wish I had more time) just to get an in person feel. The walk around the campus felt massive, safe & inviting even with students (on that day) holding a "creative t-shirt" making table for all to enjoy. There is an amazing pond that includes an engraved plaque w/ an inspirational message helping students to keep the flame burning. A nice loop of a walkway surrounding that w/ benches to sit, providing a place for studying or peace of mind from the academia rat race. Personally I'm a STICKLER for stillness in the midst of "busy-ness" & for clear cut agendas that map out what is required of me to flourish. Bristol provides me this & then some. I LOVE IT!
Honorable Mentions at Bristol: Numerous clubs, multiple student events/activities, an active student trustee/president, private social media community (Ad groups for buy, trade & sell as well a housing search or general chat), therapeutic services, sports teams, tutoring, childcare services, multi-cultural services center; PLUS MORE!
I truly did not know what to expect when I enrolled a Bristol, in fact I believed that the experience would be subpar. A few reviews I read raised an eyebrow, but I still decided to take a chance & I'm incredibly satisfied with my choice til this day. Proud to be a Bayhawk!
If YOU show up & are consistent the opportunities here are endless!

Read moreI first enrolled at BCC in Spring of 2016 and I will say for the most part it's a great place to build your skills, set goals and achieve them. All the professors I've had were all so helpful and nice! The other students that go to class here are also very nice if you greet everybody with a smile. Plenty of peace and love to go around. If you suffer from anxiety, don't worry you will be fine. I haven't really met anyone that was unkind to me during my time at BCC. You should also know this school has a lot of credentials and just about all of it's programs are accredited. So you are getting a University type of education at an affordable price. I haven't had an instructor ever want to flunk me. The instructors I had made the effort they could to help me achieve my goals. After I took my prerequisite courses, I was able to transfer my credits. The only cons I'll say are that the guidance counselors can have cold personalities when they talk to you and "try" to help you find your classes. In that "G" building for some reason the young ladies seem to have snooty gossip attitudes like they are too good for everybody. Don't see that too much with the guys. Also, even though they have almost as many majors as a large university does, they can close down a program if it doesn't have enough students enrolled and that can cause your classes to cancel and extend your graduation date. Ironically they are still adding more majors to the school. just to give students more choices. Be sure you map out your time there when you enroll and ask if the classes for your major will get cancelled due to low enrollment so you can come up with a backup plan. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Aside from that, classmates and professor wise was a very positive experience. I hope you all enjoy your...
Read moreTerrible! The most unhelpful staff I've ever dealt with at any school. They are completely unaccommodating towards adults who work during the day and have problems with teachers, online classes, etc. You name it, you better be ready to figure it out yourself.
The classes range from painfully easy to teachers that give you the bare essentials and expect the world out of you. There is no in between. I was flat out lied to by the counselors about what classes I needed and what classes would transfer from a previous college. I was under the impression that I would be done after a year and a half, filed for graduation and got a notice two months before graduation that (while I had enough credits) I didn't have enough BCC credits to graduate. This was after I took every step possible to make sure I'd finish on time. Every counselor will give you a different story in terms of credits, which major you should be working towards....it's all lies, all BCC cares about is getting your money.
I filed two complaints (both over counselor) with John SBerga (president) and it took a week for anyone from his staff to contact me. Their response was exactly the same, "not our problem, figure it out for yourself".
Avoid...
