Wade's Comic Madness — Local services in Falls Township

Wade's is a huge throwback to classic comic shops of the 90's. There is a massive amount of geekery and comic swag to be had here. There is lots of good deals on graphic novels and various statues. Unfortunately the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. The place is a complete sty. Barely anything is arranged so going for a particular item can be difficult. The staff at the time seemed to be preoccupied with whatever they were doing because they didn't ask me if I needed help once and when I asked for a particular book they just briefly said, "oh if it's not on the shelf we might not have it." Now I don't mind being left to my own devices but if nothing is in alphabetical order how am i supposed to find anything? Go to this comic shop for variants, new releases, statues and old floppies. It was fun discovering all the random stuff in store but it's really bad if you're on a mission for a particular trade. As a side note Wednesday's new releases were on the wall Tuesday. When I tried to buy the book it was explained that they couldn't sell me the books. I understand not breaking street date but I have to admit I was a little disappointed I couldn't pick the books up. Had an issue where apparently the basement manager Kevin finds the word retarded that is geared towards a game that gets out of hand that I referenced when not targeting any person offensive. I was told that I cannot say the word retarded which is a valid word and expression towards the game and not a person. The basement manager Kevin said that in the store he can tell me what I can and cannot say which is ignorant and honestly a violation of my freedom of speech. Great way to make a person of color feel very oppressed and unwelcomed in your store. You need to learn to respect others. He sited that their are people in the spectrum that visit the store and not one person today was mentally unfit. So again if I did not target a person which I would never do. I should of been able to speak freely. Not once did I say a vulgar word towards anyone. That whole confrontation was retarded to be honest and the use of freedom of speech should never be restricted. My personal favorite was how I was disrespected by two people in front of him because I called the game retarded and he does not correct them and targets me. Very interesting when I never disrespected anyone. Flawed logic. If I could give zero...

Im giving this 5 loose stars. The place is terrible in fact. The people are WAY too nice, friendly, helpful and stuff. I cannot bear the great deals that this shop always seems to give. Dont even think that the largest Captain America collection is a draw because its not, my grandmom has a bigger dil...Dilbert collection in fact.

The selection of comics is too vast..I dont want your Rock N Roll Metallica comic dude. All this obscure weird stuff is everywhere.

Almost every damn item in the store is practically cheap as.funk, even CGC books can be gotten on the cheap when you join this Private club the dude runs, the side missions you can opt into are pretty bizarre and you basically become co'opted into saving the planet through like giving back Santas wrapping paper which the Claus then uses as cheap TP for customers who use the foulest public bathroom humankind ever created. Yeah, recycling! Thanks and all, but I bring my own TP into public.

There is ample parking all of the time which also kinda sucks for us people like parking on other folks vehicles.

Doubt Ill be going there for my 10,000th time anytime soon. I try to avoid the place...
