I have never been so disgusted as a RECIPIENT of flowers.
My brother ordered me flowers (delivery due date 12/14). On 12/18, 10AM, my brother finally asks if I got the flowers, I did not. He says 1800 flowers has the status as DELIVERED. He calls and asks for a refund. 12/18, 3PM, flowers are delivered. Brother calls 1800 flowers again to CANCEL refund request since we got the flowers.
12 /21 I get a call from the upset OWNER stating she isn’t getting paid by 1800 flowers due to the “not delivered claim”. During call owner divulged the delivery date was rescheduled due to needing to deliver on a warmer day. I explained during the call that brother called 1800 flowers already trying to fix claim and yet she continued to harass me accusing us of scamming her. To top it off owner stated: “I am a small business and someone needs to pay otherwise I will need to go get the flowers”…
Being a florist is a wonderful profession which holds very highly due to importance and meaning behind the gift of flowers. How do I know that? My mother was a florist. I understand owning a business is not easy, it also means dealing with dishonest people from time to time. Regardless, recipients should never get this kind of a call… you never know what those flowers were for, such as mourning the loss of a loved one…
As the last strand of decency, we called 1800 flowers yesterday after the owners nasty call and ensured 1800 flowers were made aware that we got the flowers and to pay florist. We did our due diligence, unlike the owner.

That is not taking in to account the difficulty it is to find a small business still open during this troubling time. The florist was very up front that she did not have all of the flowers for the exact bouquet on line but would be able to substitute. She was extremely patient and sent photos to us of all of our options and choices. All of that great customer service just two hours before closing and she was still able to put everything together. The result was beautiful...not just make you smile and feel you got your money's worth beautiful; It brought my wife and the recipient to tears! She did an amazing job and the price was reasonable. We came inquiring about our wedding and she helped us with our center pieces and we did all our flowers for our wedding (bouquets, men's flowers, mothers and grandmothers corsages, flowers for center pieces). Great pricing also. Usually you have to have an appt for things like this but she hit the ground running and we were in and out within 45 minutes. She gave us suggestions and showed us examples of what the arrangements would look like and it was a great use of time.
