Unfortunately, Zero stars is not an option here :( I have been a customer of this Fitchburg location for nearly “50 “Years! On Monday 08/05/24 my husband went to get us each a blizzard at 8:30 pm. He used the drive thru service, placed the order for 2 Medium Blizzards and drove up to the window, handed the woman his debit card as she said $25.25 is your total, she proceeded to swipe the card, and he said to her…$25.25 for two ice creams? She replied you ordered four, my husband replied no ma’am I only ordered two? She went back & forth w/him insisting that he needed to pay for all four blizzards and she said I read the order back to you and he said I’m sorry but I didn’t hear you say four blizzards? (there were cars running, crackling in the speaker, etc.) I only ordered two and I’m not going to be charged for or pay for four of them He then stated I will pay for the 2 blizzards I ordered and she again was argumentative w/him and insisted he pay for all 4 and wouldn’t allow him to pay for just the two? Feeling frustrated and defeated he said I’m sorry then, I am not taking any of them and he drove off. Anyone in this situation would’ve felt the same way. When he arrived home, I checked our bank acct and sure enough the $25.25 was pending and remained in a pending status for 48 hours and as of today has since cleared. We had NO ICE CREAM and were charged for FOUR?!?! After work today I went in person to speak to the Manager and she wasn’t there but the assistant manager was and she was very sweet! I shared our experience w/her and she wanted to help us if at all possible but she said she had to contact the Mgr (Annie I believe) The manager is in fact the woman who waited on my husband. The young lady called and spoke to Annie and yet again… she FLAT OUT REFUSED to rectify the situation??? She stated she could not reverse the charges, no offer to provide us a gift card or credit? She did say to her young assistant mgr that my husband “HAD AN ATTITUDE AND DROVE OFF”! Who wouldn’t after that experience and especially given that there were cars behind him waiting for their ice cream & he wasn’t going to continue to communicate w/her as she clearly made a mistake and was not about to take responsibility or accountability for her mistake! At the end of the day, we are hard working people who always do the right thing. We do not want the company or their staff to lose money, but neither do we! This is TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE and treating your loyal lifelong customers like this is an absolute shame!!! $25.25 and I didn’t even smell or taste any ice cream :( #dairyqueendebacle Susan & Ronald Damon of Fitchburg Mass

Read moreGoing reminds me why I don't go more often, I hate the containers and service is always bad. Ice cream does not need to be this messy. I'm alone in the car at the drive through yet they still try to hand me 4 ice creams , 1 at a time without a bag or cover. You have to request a cover and bag multiple times to get it. By the time you get home, you cannot remove the cover without wearing half what's inside and that's if it doesn't leak through the bag and make a mess of the car before you get home. I guess the only way to succeed is eat it there and bring a wet wipe. Service would still be slow and you still have to tell them repeatedly what you asked for. I guess for me I...
Read moreThis place is HORRIBLE & NASTY , the two mangers Annie & her husband Tony don’t know how to talk the young ladies who work there , always talking down to them , also Annie took brownies out of a dirty sink from a soapy bucket wich was the very bottom wich my daughter through into sink to be cleaned out - the bucket, wich now had soap in it , Annie said don’t throw out the bottom scraps , this stuff is expensive & put it into someone ice cream & served it to him , wich is disguston , unhealthy & violates board of health regulations.
