Just keep the appointment! Don't chicken out, don't bail. I haven't been to dentist in yeeeaaarrsss because ...well, it's the dentist 😅. I had googled "sedation dentistry near me" because i knew I needed a lot of work and I seriously dread even cleanings. I made the appointment. I was anxious all the way up to the appointment day. I just kept reading all the great reviews and reassuring myself. It's an hour after my first visit and even though I'm still trying to bring that anxiety down the appointment was GREAT! They couldnt have made it more comfortable for me! They even gave my cold-natured self a blanky! Everyone is extremely nice. So, although an hour later I can still feel the effects of my anxiety: elevated bp, heart rate is still a little high, chest tightness yet to fully resolve, mouth is dry, face still hot from the flushing, I AM GOING BACK!! Literally cannot fathom that this place is real. I travel pretty far to come here since they are one of the few practices that offer sedation and even though Flemingsburg is a small town, this practice is GORGEOUS.

Miss Cathy has been seeing me for my dental hygiene, Amanda takes care of finances and gave me an itemized rundown of how much my treatments would cost per session in a way that I could actually understand what I was being charged for, Brittany has helped me with scheduling around my busy schedule, and Dr. M has explained things to me in such a way that I am able to confidently press forward with treatments. He has even helped me by calling and texting me on his day off when I had tooth pain. He treated me with genuine concern and didn’t make me feel bad for needing his help outside of office hours.

Overall I give my visit to see Dr Morehead a five star rating!! Dr Moorehead always helps me to try new steps to improve the over all health of my mouth and he doesn't make me feel like I've committed an unforgivable crime when he finds an issue like other dentists have and do. His assistant Melissa is very polite, courteous and professional with her chair side manner. Cathy the hygienist is always super sweet and extremely gentle while she cleans my teeth. Devon the receptionist always greets or wishes you a good day with a smile on her face! There are a couple of new additions to his office (Kara and Amanda) and I think they will only increase the overall professionalism, care and concern for making sure the patient has the BEST experience at the dentist they've ever had!
