K & J Market — Local services in Flint

I had a very bad experience in this store today 7/25/21. I had went into the store today to purchase a $0.99 cent item. As I paid for the item I was told that I need more money for the item so I stated "I was about to go get more change" so, as I was about to exit the store, that's when one of the cashiers came from behind a locked door which separated him from customers and ask me a question that I didn't understand, so another customer stated that the store clerk said that I purchased a pop as well. I told the customer, I didn't purchase a pop. After that I turned to open the main door and It was locked, I ask the store clerk could he unlock the door and he stated that it wasn't locked. I again tried to exit the door by pushing on it and it wouldn't open. As I tried for the third time it finally opened. As I exited the store I saw the store clerk make a rude gesture and roll his eyes at me. I felt very hurt, humiliated and embarrassed. Its not a great feeling to feel these type of emotions this day in age, especially when you are just trying to live a daily life. Thanks for letting me share...

I go there for Tender Bones!! It's a family ran bbq stand that has the absolute best rib tips in town!! I do like how they are open so late but that also means you get late night customers in not such a great area .. my purchase was made quickly and I was in and out.
