Fish & Chicken Land-Ballenger Hwy — Restaurant in Flint Charter Township

I have visited this place many times and I have watched it change ownership or something a few times. I have had a few things go awry with bad w personalities there sometimes I was talked to the wrong way. In the at least decade I have off and on went there, today is my last time ever going back. Service when ordering was fine and everything was good. I went home with my purchases and I sat down to eat I put hot sauce on my fish so I can eat it but when I tasted it, it was rank tasting and it smelled bad 😞. Enough for me to get back in my car and took it back. I was nice and explained why I came right back to complain about the fish and was told it was purchased today and it was fresh and if I hadn't put hot sauce on it they would have taken it back. No refund or consideration that I didn't want it and I was not and couldn't eat it. So am going to stay away from that place. I don't recommend them because of their business practices.If I complain about what you sold me and bring you the product back I should have had some kind of consideration. It's not like they couldn't have brought bad fish. What if I had ate it anyway and...

I ended up going back and I can honestly say I will never get anything for myself ever again. Between waiting over triple the amount of time quoted on the phone, not the friendliest in store service (the guy on the phone was nice enough), to get blah tasting food (some of the worst mac and cheese I ever had in my life. Didn't try the mashed potatoes personally, but the party who did thought it was cold and disgusting) all I can say is nope, nope, absolutely not. There were people who ordered after me who got their food. I am not sure what message is being sent there, but my message is this place is not worth it. I would have been much happier with a bowl of cereal. Awful. And don't use it is Friday night as an excuse, because I had way better service from here before, even on a Friday night. Smh.... Tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt after reading the so many bad reviews on grub hub. Mac and cheese was horrible!! They use some kind of powder cheese it seems. They definitely popped it in the microwave because the container was scorched on the inside. Flavor was decent in regards to the chicken breast but it was overly cooked big time. Fried bread didn't have much flavor. Collards were nothing I would come back for. Hush puppies were pretty good. Peach cobbler was literally ice cold. The didn't have try to microwave it like the other stuff. Very disappointing overall for a restaurant to let food leave there store like this.
