Made a slight detour to incorporate this place on my trip. I had heard about it somewhere in my travels. I googled it before I got there and found a podcast. Learned that the butcher; David Raines, is a award winning Michelin Star chef. His father owns a farm in Louisiana where the Wagyu beef is sourced for the shop. The shop also has some great olive oils, seasons, cookware, among other items. I did hear they serve lunch until they sell out. Luckily I was able to get my hands on a Ribeye steak sandwich. That was so unbelievably good. Also, bought a Denver Wagyu steak, a boneless lard pork chop, and a jalapeno and pineapple sausage to cook up later. Being in an RV I have a tiny fridge or I would have gotten more. All were fabulous. The sausage had a light spice to it more sweet then I was expecting but yummy. The steak was perfect. Pork was so tender. I was very happy with everything and all the staff is super nice. He also owners the Raines Cellar next-door which has a wonderful array of wines and spirts. Read moreI came across this place while I was working at Grand Gulf Nuclear Plant about a month ago. When it was time to come back home to Chicago . I made sure I stopped by to buy about $ 600.00 dollars worth of wagyu prime rib, black Angus prime rib , hanger steaks and some Denver delicious steaks. The flavor was absolutely out of this world. I want to thank Matt for taking care of my order. It was spot on. Very knowledgeable about the different cuts of meat. This place is absolutely a diamond in the raw in Flora Mississippi . Next time I go back for work in the area, I'll make sure I buy double what I got this time. Matthew. You're the bomb. Thank you very much for...

We might have used some more salt or some other spice as well. The folks In The store are amazing. They talked us thru their cuts and told us about their farm to table and ranch operations. Super friendly and bent over backwards to inform us and talk to us about their meats. Definitely be back for...
