I highly recommend Trudies. Im a plus size bride who has greatly struggled finding my dress. We live in Indy and made the trip to Trudies in hopes of finding a dress. Trudies has an amazing selection of reasonably priced dresses, I was told the most expensive dress in the shop was $2500 but the large majority I tried on was under $1000. They even had a $50 rack. They carry both off the rack dresses and dresses you can order. This was the 6th dress shop I visited. As a street size 24 I rarely was able to try on samples close to my size. At Trudies I was able to try on many samples that fit me, and even some that were too big. This was completely different than my other bridal experiences. The associate was so kind, patient and not pushy at all. I found my dream dress and it was only $510! Trudie is a seamstress and is going to build me Bell sleeves completely and she quoted me a very reasonable price. I wasn't sure what to expect from Trudie's and it was a bit of a drive from Lafayette, but it was 100% worth the drive. I had made an appointment after seeing them at a bridal show, and was so glad I did. I was the only bride in the store, it was quiet and no one rushed me so I was able to really enjoy the experience and figure out what I liked and didn't. I wanted to stay under $700 and they had lots of options within my budget and size. The complete opposite of my overwhelming and rushed experience at David's Bridal. Trudie's should be at the top of your list of shops to visit when searching for a wedding dress. If you can't find it there, it probably doesn't exist. Plenty of really unique dresses, in many sizes(!!!), at very affordable prices. Trudie and Renee are absolutely the best and treat you like they have known you forever. We drove an hour and a half to check Trudie's out and it was the best decision we could have made! I found my wedding dress there and will be going back so that Trudie can do the alterations.
