Went into the Floresville store with every intention of buying a washer and dryer. My dryer went out the other day. I live in Floresville, and previously have bought all my appliances from Hoelscher's. Would have liked to have kept it local for convenience. Sales guy seemed very disinterested in selling, appeared as if I was interrupting his lunch break possibly as he seemed more interested looking at his computer sitting at his desk? There was not one customer in the store at this time. It was my lunch break as well. Long story short, wasn’t able to accommodate a delivery day even though he stated it was everyday they were open that they could deliver. Asked if I bought today, could I get it today or possibly tomorrow on Saturday, he stated no. Didn’t price match as a coworker told me they did for them re: matching Lowe’s , but the biggest problem was the simple disinterest demonstrated and non care. If they could have delivered the next day I probably would have tolerated the higher price and the disinterested behavior, but the combination thereof sent me to Lowe’s. Read moreWent in yesterday to look at purchasing a TV. I’ve committed to buy local and keep my dollars in Floresville and Wilson County to support my local community. I’m disappointed to have to go to Wal Mart or elsewhere to purchase a TV. The salesman wasn’t interested in my needs, what I was looking for nor could he answer questions regarding the products he had on display other than, they were marked down floor models, no other selection. That didn’t bother me as much as not being greeted, no effort to try to assess my needs, make a recommendation and no effort to try and sell me something. I’m disappointed because I want to buy locally but it looks like I’ll have to shop at Wal Mart. I bought a sofa from Hoelsher’s last summer and had a similar experience when I first visited but on the second visit then, I was pleased with the service and purchased a sofa. Read moreThe only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is for Rose. She is by far the most helpful employee they have and has always treated us good. But other than that they are horrible and that starts with John and his son. I’m still waiting on a call back from John to take care of my refrigerator that his technician broke when he was sent out to my house. The tech came in and damaged my refrigerator and broke a cover and put two screws back but those fell out as soon as you closed the freezer. I argued the charge and still had to pay full price. Now I’m dealing with John’s son who sold me some couches and is blaming the issue of the couch coming apart at the seem due to sunlight and heat cause the couch is by the window. Couch isn’t even 3 years old but that was the worst excuse I could have been given. So stay clear folks...
